This has been on my mind after getting killed a handful of times by a Predator, despite not wanting to fight them personally.
Firstly, I recall reading in the honor code that any hostile that attacks you is deemed a worthy enemy.
Marines tend to avoid this just by not engaging or interacting with predators, which I'm fine with and all, but here is what gets me killed.
1. I'm hunting Xenos then I see a Predator dueling a marine, in character wise I'm thinking "Oh shit, one of my comrades is getting killed, gotta do something."
2. My Squad encounters a predator, and the Squad Leader gives a direct order to engage and kill the predator.
3. I come across a Predator, and seeing that its an unknown entity (Marines are to supposed to treat predators as first contact according to RP standards) I target the predator with captive mode, the Predator immediately forces me to fire and uses that as a free pass to deem me a worthy target.
all 3 of these scenarios have ended up with me getting slaughtered and in some cases turned into trophies.
How can you avoid provoking a pred yet keep it RP appropriate? From the marines side, Predators are neutral, but not to be treated as friendly or even possibly hostile, how would you guys go about this?
