    Lightbulb what if cm get a new gamemode

    listen I know I asked this in the last town hall meeting and the answer was something about how the devs are Xeno main and really don't care about the game mode unless it's about them, or that whiskey outpost was a mess to maintain.
    I'm genuinely thinking about what if we had rounds that play out more like a bay station game with fair hrp and marines and such are reinforcement.
    this will take a tremendous time and effort but my idea is to give every faction their own ship should this occur
    and I'll map them all personally ( in like a month or so don't @ me for being slow) Yaya whatever else.
    I know we've tried so many times to get a new game mode and we still have an existing game mode like infection and xvx/hvh
    what I want is something else entirely.
    regardless it won't get through and this will just be a huge waste of time and resources.

    I wish the Human VS Human ended up being followed up upon, would've added a fresh variety to the game.

    Always been a cool idea, but the way weapons are built and coded I don't think it will ever happen considering they are balanced to fight xenos, not marines and other humanoids. You'd also need to completely remove scopes and specialists due to how tilted it makes one side, also CAS/OB/mortars.

    Have marines wake up to UPP boarding the ship, and they gotta gear up and defend/ push back. or hold toll USCM ship come to help.

    Solution
    -give both sides scopes
    -New engi structure "Point defense turret" which is set up something like tcomms and blocks CAS/OB/mortars

    Yeah, which is why I was hardcore testing Human V Human to make adjustments to insta-deaths, scopes and generally arty effects.

    This is a start but overall you need objectives that validate why certain things no longer work.

    -CAS/OB/Mortar should be blocked until Marines disable emplacements or complete objectives. (An objective could be something like this: "Disable the Orbital Defenses" and when it's complete, Marines get to use their more powerful utilities.)

    Instead of completely removing scopes or appeasing both sides, make the map simply inhospitable for rifle combat. The maps that H v H would exist on should be big cities with block by block fighting with lots of tight space that makes engaging in CQC the primary focus.

    You give UPP/hostile factions RTO tech abilities and give them objectives to collect intel. Collect enough intel, they become more a threat to the Almeyer itself. Events that escalate the level of urgency aboard the ship are probably things like ERT's that side with the UPP/hostile faction. Boarding parties and stuff. Just something to reinforce that this is an active battle zone.

    It's a lot of work but I think a dedicated H v H mode could be interesting.

    With the way marines and such are balanced to fight xenos, they have an automatic massive advantage over any UPP force. Carlarc is working on a hvh mode but there still lies the issue of guns being balanced to kill xenos and not other humans.

    Da point is, to make things balanced AND fun you dont cut the # from side A to make side B and side A balanced but you add something to side B to counter-measure that.
    An clear example would be "my rocket cant hit <something>! Thats unfair!" e.g. you don't rip plane rocket counter-measure off, you add counter-counter measure to other side. Marines got cloning? Sure lets add something to counter that in order to balance sides. that's my POV
