I understand your point, but I'm talking about features, not things like this.

I'm talking about things like what I said. Niche' things like that.

SS13 isn't meant to be focused around balance/TDM mechanics. A lot of players don't know that

Sentinel neurotoxin can put marines to sleep if they're effected by a long enough stun and you have 2+ neuro stacks on them, the simplest way to do this is neuro someone once, run up to them, neuro a second time, tackle twice (funny 2 hit tackle RNG), neuro a 3rd time, and they're asleep for the next 45~ seconds.

doesn't work against marines with larvas in them, because it effectively gives you queen spit which cannot put marines to sleep.

sentinel neuro works against survs who are infected with larvas.

A bayonet attached to a gun serves as an inferior crowbar for opening unpowered doors.

Unless you are within 3 tiles behind a cade, most of your bullets will hit the cade itself. Marine fire contributes a majority of FOB breaches.

You don't need C4 to blow up a tunnel. Tossing three HEDPs on a tunnel (one at a time) will destroy it.

You can wear an ammo box on your backpack slot which is more efficient than a backpack full of magazines. This is limited to the boxes of loose rifle and smg ammo (not shotgun ammo or boxes of magazines). Ask requisitions for a piece of carboard so you can craft and fill your own box.

You can craft cable cuffs right clicking on a stack of 15 cable coil. By itself it doesnt have much use, but you can use it on a metal rod, and then add a glass shard to make a spear. When wielded, a spear one-shots weed nodes and is useful in destroying resin structures. Just dont try to melee xenos, they have (or used to have) a snowflake resistance to human-mob melee attacks.

Plasteel is horrendously expensive for requisitions to buy. For context, a metal cade initially costs 200 points. A single plasteel cade costs over 1,300 points. If you find a stack of pasteel on the colony, get it back to the FOB. It will be worth around a quarter of requisition's budget at that point in the round.

You can make M56D tripods by wasting plasteel to make plasteel rods, and then using the rods
( not responsible for any lynching that may occur due to waste of PRECIOUS PLASTEEL ) ( don't actually do this, its a horrible waste of mats )

You can convert flashlights to rail lights with a screwdriver and change it back

Dropships are hardcoded not to land after nuke detonation (admemes found this out the hard way on the halloween event 2021)

    Seven HEFAS destroy a tunnel

Fire alarms have a feature where they drop the locks if fire is detected even without power. Of course, with atmos fires being gone, it doesn't detect flamer fires anymore. However, one can shoot it to trigger it. I have trolled dozens of xenos with this.

Air alarms still work from a technical standpoint.

Disposals can be modified by turning them off first ( MT metacord might send a bitcoin assassin to me for revealing this )

Cades can be rotated by a right click verb

Throwing knives count as thrown if they are 'thrown' in explosions. This means if an explosion happens on a bunch of throwing knives, they will apply the same damage and effects as if they were thrown at someone if they hit somebody.

You can light someone elses cigarette/cigar(when it's in their mouth) by aiming mouth and clicking on them with help intent. Do keep in mind this does not work with matches.

So you can now complete your cig lighting duties correctly if the CO or anyone elses asks, instead of throwing them a lighter.

Cades can also be rotated with alt click

Sentries can be rotated with a screwdriver

Making barbed wire on the same tile as other barbed wire automatically stacks them

You can set up macros for targeting limbs if you don't have a numpad

You should wall off the fob flanks on LV so xenos can't easily breach them

You should wall off the engineering APC so lurkers can't break it, also works on BR by blocking it off with water and fuel tanks.

In my short (5-6 weeks) time of playing CM, I swear I read these tips from Outcast seer and Total Epicness word by word somewhere. I wish there would be something cool like the Scout spec tip. Anyway here are my observations:

    - You can combine an igniter with a proxy sensor to make a makeshift MD that you can place on the floor to alarm any xeno movement. It is intended to be attached to OT nades or fuel tanks, but it works regardless by itself.

    - If you find a vendor that can create above items, you can print the 'steel plates' out to use them as pure metal sheets as an engineer.

    - Hack the cafeteria vendor for infinite 13 loko fire bomb as OT.

    - 2 cades or sandbags facing each other will be slashed with 1 hit if a xeno hits it. The only reason to use it if you want to deal double barbed damage on them. Otherwise leave 1 gap between.

    - You can make molotovs by combining alcohol with paper (duh). Fastest way is on Solaris Ridge, wrench the vendor, take it back to LZ. Grab a stack of papers from one of the nearby rooms. Normally you can not drag it, but if you wrench and destroy the table underneath, you can. Drag it back to the vendor. Now you can spam molotovs, which usually end up with LOTS of FF.

    - Some things I learned in my limited time as OT. You need to be an actual OT to finish the grenades you are making, an engi can not do it. But if you are not an OT but you want to suicide with a bang, break in to the OT lab, make 1 Ammonium nitrate in 1 janitor bucket and fill the other bucket with fuel. Makes sure to leave enough space in them to pour to each other. To blow up, pour the max amount to the other, so you wont accidentally make ANFO without blowing up.

    - One thing I read and tried it, it works: Take a chair, attach a proxy OT C4 to it. Take a roller bad, attach OT C4 to it too. Sit in chair. Grab bed. Use fire extinguisher to launch yourself into enemy and blow up. When I tried it I got lucky and killed a runner, had he saw me earlier, he could just trigger it and run away.

    - Once an OT gave me an activated igniter C4 maxcap. I put in my bag, and was capped (stuck at middle of barrens on LV-624). The bombs still blew up bit early just outside of hive killing me. Almost got the hive this way.

    - I constantly see queens placing hive core to the front to prevent OB, so there is that too.

    - Certain xenomorph spits can put out other xenos that are on fire. Not sure if this is a feature or just a tipp though.
