Early March 2018 was right when spooky disabled the tank for +- a month, not to mention tank bay was still in hangar at that point.
Warriors and defenders got patched within a week of release and buckshot was still viable, not requiring you to carry 3 shotguns in order to stunlock and kill something.

This was by far the most enjoyable CM period for me, closely followed by Q4 2017 around the time we swapped out the old xeno sprites.

I only really enjoyed 2019 because of Ranged's research rework.

No, tank was tested on April after the Space Jam April Fools event, it was disabled on the latter half of the year, in exchange M41s does like 60 fucking brute back then and literally delimbs people on FF bursts while it was disabled.

February-ish was about the time where ovi was introduced.

Also tank wasn't even that good initially, it only got ridiculously broken about midway through the year, of course by then it became more like the only good thing about marines with how strong xenos were.

Not to mention it's an era where maturity was a thing and the power curve for it was stupid.

Lastly, a reminder that shoulder padless armor "cosmetic" variations (there was only medium back then and it only had 2 slots) does NOT have arm protection back then either.
This includes SG harness.

Then again this arguments been had since 2019. DEFCON promised to fix it, was fun then nobody finished it. To fix DEFCON they made Techweb, which many people said in advance would be a terrible idea, look where that ended up.

So many issues with nobody able/willing to fix them.
