    Windhealer's Strategy Logs

    >File Under Construction...

    >Clearance Level GERDY Required...

    >Granted...

    >Welcome back, Chief.

    Operational Material
    >That two bit shyster Brad charged me $200 for that last box of crayons! "Exclusive black market stock" he calls it, I know he's sitting on a stockpile of them! I must send my finest maint-agents undercover to find his source...

    Solaris Ridge

My best performing battlefield in the simulations! Wide open streets allow for mighty firing lines with multiple avenues to flank from. Using a cluster OB to turn the offices into a flat ruin provides us a good killing field by filtration. It is vital to bleed the foe in the open before pushing into the caves, where all sense of cohesion is surely lost the longer a fight goes on.

A worthwhile tactic is to use the "Bait and OB" at filtration, pulling our warriors back to bar and allowing the xendigos to push forth into the cover of offices, firing an incendiary OB at filtration to cut off a southern retreat while counter-pushing has granted a great many scalps in the past and often been the crux of victory.

    Three Headed Viper

[/SIZE]>Dual Deployment Strategy. Like a viper this warpath is about striking swiftly from many angles and overwhelming any xendigo defences with the maximum amount of dispersed firepower. My personal favourite doctrine to run and the one which I have gained the most glory!

    >Red Tribe is to push from LZ1 through MEDBAY and towards BAR. APC is to provide them support, the most straight-forward path for the most straight-forward of warriors. Previous attempts at deploying the APC at LZ2 instead has resulted in Red Tribe taking heavy attrition losses to xendigos hit-and-runs across the medbay and dorm streets. They are likely to be the first force to take battle around BAR, although heavy resistance at MEDBAY can mean that the hammer of Blue Tribe is without their anvil. Red Tribe in this deployment is purely a holding force, not expected to break the enemy but rather hold them at bar for Blue and Purple Tribe to encircle and slay.

    >Yellow Tribe establishes the warcamp at LZ1. Suggested that their specialist and gunner elements either push with BLUE TRIBE or support RED TRIBE. The former is the more bold option as maximizing firepower on the flank could let Blue Tribe sweep aside any menace in a surprise assault, although it is safer for them to push with Red especially if they are already lacking in numbers.

    >Purple Tribe deploys on the NORMANDY to LZ2. They should always deploy 1 full minute AFTER the ALAMO has launched. Their path is a swift push to secure OFFICES from the south west. Timed right they should reach it just as Blue Tribe moves in from the north east, cutting off retreat from BAR. Expect minimal resistance from LZ2, especially if they landed after the main force as the xendigos will be focused on what is coming already.

    >Blue Tribe takes North Cave Flank from LZ1. Suggested to either lead personally for motivation, or assign to a trusted SL or LT who can manage such a manoeuvre. With the most numbers and the bravest warriors overall, Blue Tribe is most suited for such a move, as if the xendigos are holding bar it will be them who must take the fight with no support or real fall back route.

    Reverse Three Headed Viper
    >Dual Deployment. Effectively the same strategy as its primary namesake but with LZ2 as the main warcamp rather than LZ1.

    >Red Tribe deploys at LZ1. Escorts the APC through MEDBAY to be the anvil that holds the xendigos at BAR.

    >Yellow Tribe builds FoB at LZ2. A much tighter defence that can be heavily layered but also very susceptible to break-throughs due to lack of fall-back positions.

    >Purple Tribe moves from LZ2 to push OFFICES.

    >Blue Tribe takes the north caves to sweep around the east of BAR.

    Two Headed Viper
    >Single Deployment at LZ1. Less aggressive but also easier to manage version of the above doctrine. Depends entirely on the swiftness of Blue Tribe to get through north caves and emerge upon the enemy positions from behind.

    >Red Tribe + Purple Tribe take the direct route through MEDBAY towards BAR. APC tags along as support.

    >Blue Tribe goes through the north caves from LZ1. Solid leadership is required to maintain cohesion and ensure the unruly warriors of Delta do not run off with the main force.

    Reverse Two Headed Viper
    >Dual Deployment, LZ2 as main.

    >Red Tribe + Purple Tribe head from LZ2 to assault BAR / OFFICES from the South West. APC as support

    >Blue Tribe as always takes the north cave route to get around the enemy front undetected.

    >Yellow Tribe builds warcamp at LZ2.

This version of the plan is the most risky, as if the xendigos are holding a strong force in MEDBAY then they can cut off BLUE TRIBE entirely from the main force, leaving them to be encircled themselves. However should BAR be taken and the two forces link up, the xendigos can be cut off from any retreat and will find themselves slaughtered in a reverse sweep back through towards LZ1.

Always expect casualties from solos amongst Blue Tribe, any who don't go on the north cave flank are likely to be killed with no support on the main LZ1-Medbay-Bar route.

    Taco's Plan

    >All drop at LZ1

    >Red Tribe takes the direct route through MEDBAY towards BAR. APC as support. Clear ADMIN on the way

    >Yellow Tribe builds FoB

    >Purple Tribe goes through MARSHALLS and DORMS towards BAR.

    >Blue Tribe uses NORTH CAVE flank route, getting behind bar.

A direct and effective strategy, saw this used well by XO Jay 'Taco' Johnson leading to a great victory over local xendigo forces. Red and Purple Tribe can easily back one another up if they run into heavy opposition, while Blue Tribe remains in position as the hammer to strike from the north and east. Also he did a nice drawing of it, did he steal my craons?!?
