Where would you have liked to see the franchise go from Alien 3 onward?

The Aliens franchise should just be left alone. Alien: Covenant was some of the worst shit I've ever suffered through, just thinking about it gives me PTSD.

The fanbase can and will do a better job than ridley scott could ever do with the franchise at this point.
Even so, most of the extended aliens universe is flat out retarded. A lot of the people who go out and try to 'explain' the aliens do a terrible job of it.

I prefer the stories that have simply taken a situation; a group of miners on a colony, a bunch of predators on a hunt - and then added xenomorphs to the mix.

Imo Xenomorphs should not be something that has to have their backstory explored via some stupid pseudoscience, leave it a mystery. I honestly preferred the older comics interpretation where they are just a hyper aggressive lifeform that evolved on a death world.

An ideal Alien sequel, for me, would be a return to form. Something closer to either Alien or Aliens, perhaps a big grander in scale, an escalation of the prior films. Something that the CM game tried to achieve.

If we're talking about Predators, from everything I see they seem like they are just slowly become less powerful when it comes to Humanity. Modern Human tech is shown to be very lethal against Predators, I imagine things will be getting worse for them as time advances, perhaps a plot point where Predator society is seeing a divergence on how to answer the Human conundrum. Is Humanity becoming too much a threat to the Predator way of life, and should action be taken? Perhaps some Predators want to put down the Human threat, whereas others want to leave them be.

Alien 3 never happened. The theory that Ripley dreamed of everything that happened in Alien 3 is canon in my opinion and I can see it as being declared canon eventually. I would love to see the William Gibson Alien 3 script and I believe it will happen one day.
