HEDPs only have 5x5 area of stun (with weaker stun farther from center obviously), frankly it's not that good on open areas but absolutely perfect on chokepoints which is a positioning skill issue if you know the grenadier is there.
Most of the other nades aren't as much of an enabler as the HEDP stun, some would argue AGM-F being AP buckshot to be comparable but frankly it's too often hard to get a good hit with.
The inability of specialists to kill xenos would make the game stale.
Get better at sprite checking. Its a massive rocket launcher on a spec and watch the hivemind chat for SADAR call outs. You have to be less aggressive when SADAR is in play but lets get real. There is ONE SADAR per game and it could be a god but 70% of the time the spec sucks and he gets barely any value out of it and uses all his ammo to FF me and blow up my main gun. So yeah. SADAR is fine because as soon as he's perma t3s basically get free reign to just dick on marines with barely any counterplay besides mou (previously it was possible with m39) and maybe HEDP that runs out super quick.
I've seen crushers on fire tank a high explosive and still survive. Most of the time it's due to the Sadar not having proper support from SGs/other marines though, but there are quite a few counters to sadar just mostly in T3s.
