    VerminTheVarmin - Rule 11

    Player Report
    Your Byond ID?
    Rals

    Date of Incident
    December 23, 2021

    Your Character Name?
    Brett McMatherson

    Accused Byond Key(if known):
    VerminTheVarmin

    Accused Character Name
    Samuel Anderson

Approximate time and date of the incident (Central US Time for fastest results)
    Around 21:00, I believe

    What rule(s) were broken:
    Rule 11

    Description of the incident:
CMP Samuel Anderson has violated Marine Law multiples times. At the start of the round, he has ordered MPs to ignore Minor Crimes, which I believe is essentially ordering MPs to commit NoD, since MP's duty is to enforce Marine Law. Then he arguably refused to arrest specialist for Major Crime (It can be said, that he did not do it due to looking into situation. Logs will provide more context), asked me not to process them as well.

Later in the round, he tried to pardon two specialists, but was stopped by Commodore (At least, it seemed like he was going to pardon them).

Even later, he was going to accept appeal of marine, who committed crime due to lack of evidences, despite there being a lot of situational evidences (He, however, did not go through with appeal for some reason).

Released prisoner without appeal. Just stopped their timer and opened cell door (Prisoner was Felix Taylor, who was cutting off marines' heads in medbay lobby with bayonet in order to extract brains. It was done with permission of CMO, however, I decided it was worth NoD charge due to "this list is not comprehensive of all things that would violate the law. Doing so would be impossible and require an inordinate amount of time. Something that would obviously be a serious crime in the United States, e.g. Cannibalism, is still a violation of Marine Law. Clarifications are subject to situations arising" clause of ML). Released another prisoner who was cuffed but not yet processed without any appeal (Prisoner himself said, that he has committed murder. Said prisoner was going to be charged with FFP as well) due to small boarding (Queen got taken up on Normandy and was killed in first 20 second after Normandy landed in Hangar).

And even furthermore, it seemed, that CMP thought, that MPs may not conduct arrests on code red (Maybe he poorly wrote it, or something) and thought, that MPs need HC fax in order to arrest CMP.

    Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc):
Ordering MPs to ignore Minor Crimes (Minus discussion about said order):

    What resolution are you seeking?
I believe, that CMP should be, at least, warned. CMPs in general should know Marine law and how to apply it. If I have violated ML instead, I should be noted.

Logs for this are more of the highlights of the incidents rather than full logs of the indicents. The original order to not enforce minors lead to a round long argument and had repercussions throughout. That said there are various ML misunderstandings by the CMP at many points in this round. The SEA's contribution was minimal and seemed to be based on partial knowledge so I left it out. If you think I have left out anything important let me know.

In conjunction with two other player reports for breaking Marine Law as an MP role, on top of a lengthy history of the same, VerminTheVarmin has been banned for three days and has received a department ban from MP.
