    Lightbulb Another low pop idea

Tired of playing CM at 2 in the morning only to see that there is 78 players just knowing the round is going to suck ass because the maps are too large for such a small force? well here is my solution to that very problem!

Firstly we would have to make maps to accommodate such a small force of both marines and xenos. An example of this kind of map would be something along the lines of hadley's hope with very small and tight corridors with a few large open areas such as the landing zone or a yard for the colony its self. This map should only be allowed to be voted on when there is a low population

    Pros:
Due to the close quarter combat everyone gets some action

the game feels so much less dead as you are always surrounded by your fellow man or xeno and get to talk with them

It would also allow for Xenos to pull off proper ambushes clawing their way through the maintenance tunnels and jumping out at marines only to drag them back off to the hive.

The few large areas break up the tight hallways that you will be spending most of your time in.

    Cons:
the entire job of the VC would be not needed because you can't fit a APC through a hallway and still have room for marines to shoot.

the cades, oh god the fucking cade lines

    FF galore

Tell me what you guys think of this and if it can be improved in anyway or if it's stupid

ps: this idea has the same premise as warhammer 40k's kill team and that's where I stole the idea from

LV exist just for those times, you know. It may look big, but effective "map" is really small. Marines use only LZ1, Nexus and Hydro, while benos use part of caves, containers and table fort. The only issue is that when marines dunk on benos, they procede to delaylien and run around vast caves, or jungle, then you need admeme to XOOC benos to kys.

    Two ways to play lowpop:

    1. Practice roles you wouldn’t normally get. Like Spec.

    2. Hone your 300,000 IQ tactics and skills in a role you main and essentially carry the round. To then die to Xenos who aren’t limited by lowpop like Marines are.

But wouldn't it be better to have a smaller map that people use 100% of then a larger map that people use like, 60% of? IMO, the best lowpop map is Kujevo. Since it's limited to one LZ, everything feels like it's being used to it's fullest. Less bloat between LZs and all that. Maybe we just need more 1LZ maps

Maybe, but then stupid vote system accumulates over time and this map gets choosen during high pop and thats bad. LV superior in everything, but one small thing which is delayliens running around for ages, instead of dying.

the maps are fine and honestly, even on a bigger map, you don't really need all that many players. I learned that with experience.
What you need is people who don't suck and people to fill in any roles that are needed for the game.
Other than that what you need is a redesign of the game itself to accommodate a smaller population or somehow synchronize the players without voice chat.
This shouldn't be that bad as everyone here speak English and most players know how to read chat, very few actually don't realize the right side of the screen exist or are going to be too busy to read it.
