    New Groundside Role

Okay. Stay with me here. What if there was a chaplain? I toss the idea around in deadchat every so often and get pretty positive feedback. As it stands, right now, the church has essentially no real presence beyond just being a place where you put bodies in coffins, or hold the occasional breifing.
The chaplain's job would be to secure permakilled marine dogtags, and turn them in at some sort of 'mortuary console'. The reward? I was thinking a nice chunk of req points per tag, more if it's someone like a spec or an SL. On top of of the RP benefits you can gain from having a religious dude aboard.

Ideally, they'd be some kind of warrent officer, since that's the minimum rank for a chaplain in the army. Thoughts? Suggestions?

these people expect the role itself to entertain them when they should be entertaining each other

these are the same people who bitch about the lack of roleplay

Chaplains are non-combatants, so your idea of them being a groundside dead counter is preposterous on the basis of that alone. But hey, cool religious man role, roleplay go up! Lol
Also, rewarding marines for losing manpower in combat is just pathetic.
Sheeesh this boy LRP as hell!

Chaplains are usually 45+ year old guys who either made a serious mistake or love talking to people a bit too much.

You'll have more fun talking to your oppos than you will talking to a Bish, trust me.

I unironically support this because it replicates the corpse retrieval system from the DEFCON era, and also roleplay which will permit showing hatred towards the antichrist.

It's compensation, not a reward. Considering you have to have a push going to get bodies back. And the body has to be retrived. You're not going to BE your Smartgunner for req points. But you are going to get their body back for the equipment and tags.

Gonna be honest, could be a good idea if there right person plays the role. But knowing most marines it'd just turn into some weird briefing ritual kind of role where they sacrifice some monkey to unga and then go do some weird shit around the ship.
