The door slides open slowly, a slight draft detectable as the air pressure between the two rooms equalized and Ranani stepped forward. Her eyes scanned the room, tracing over the various heat signatures of the items scattered about. She steps forward slowly, coming to a stop before an altar that dominates the center of the room on the large ship. Many items decorated the altar, skulls of various alien species as well as weapons and memorabilia taken from honorable prey that had fallen in past hunts. Ranani brushes her hand over the skull of a serpent that she had placed on that altar herself many years before as she had earned the right to be called Blooded. She dwelled on that distant memory for a moment, facing down the serpent in the ultimate struggle and the final killing blow that had severed the creature's head from its body and her pride that the gods had chosen to favor her in that moment.

She shakes her head, driving away the old memory and then kneeling in front of the altar. Her mandibles click as she speaks the ancient words “In the name of the Father and Mother and the Conquering Warrior I, Ranani’Kator, go forth to give honor to the gods. Give your blessing to your favored and guide my blade as I take part in the sacred hunt.” With the ritual finished she gets back to her feet and walks slowly from the chamber, the door sliding shut behind her as she leaves. She walks slowly through the Mothership, her footsteps echoing through the halls of the ship. She walks to the end of the hall and opens the door, stepping into the next room and seeing two of her kin already gathered there.

She steps through the portal and into the room and says “Greetings young bloods, my rites are complete and the sacred hunt begins. Today we go to the world below where you will gain either the honor of the gods or death. There is no other path before you. You will now take the sacred vow. Follow me.” She then leads them back to the altar room that she had just departed and steps through the portal. She beckons the two young bloods into the room and says “Take your place before the altar and speak the words, first you” and she points at one as she speaks “and then you” as she points at the other. She watches them carefully as they kneel in front of the altar and speak the same words that she had spoken not too long before with their heads down and their eyes on the floor in front of the altar, for they had not yet earned the right to gaze at it. The first one finishes and she watches the second one repeat the ritual, neither of them making an error that would have earned them a harsh reprimand at the least. After they have finished she examines them for a moment and then says “Very good, now we shall prepare for the drop. Come with me.”

Hello! This is a re-application after being accepted until about a year ago. If I recall I lost the whitelist because I had not been around for a long time. I updated the story to fit with the new clan system and decided to join Luar'ke for now. I will likely attempt to form a new minor clan at some point in the future for clan Kator and I spoke with Sora to work out how'd that work for now. This is a re-application after being accepted until about a year ago. If I recall I lost the whitelist because I had not been around for a long time.

The whole whitelist was purged, yes. There was a brief time where active Predators could reapply by filling out a form.

It was full of questions, but here's the ones I posed to the other reapplication (Suriyel) that I find very particular:

• When can you enter the FoB/important cadelines?
• What should you do if a prey you've trapped gets attacked by their opposing faction?
• Give an example of a time you're allowed to enter a "ceasefire" with either faction.

1. You can only enter the FOB/Important Cadelines when there is there is no other option AND if there is no chance that you'll disrupt the marine operations or harm their defense in any way. The only real reason that you'd need to enter the FOB is to retrieve a fallen yautja and only if you can do so without having to fight your way in and out. If you can run in, grab it, and run out then it's fine.
2. If the prey that I am fighting is attacked by the other faction then I can take measures to make sure that they get to safety so that they can be healed or treated or whatever such as dragging a marine to a medic or a xeno back to some resin away from the marines. I am also to stop attacking them as soon as the hunt is interrupted and wait until later to try to find them again after they have been healed.
3. The only time I'm aware of that it's okay to negotiate a cease-fire is when there is an abomination present and you want to be able to kill it without the marines shooting at you constantly which last until the abomination(s) is slain.

As a re-applicant, you've obviously played Predator before and have experience with it, so I shall ask -

What do you like about the whitelist? What motivated you to apply for it back?

I really enjoyed roleplaying as the yautja. It was really fun to be able to look at the conflict as a third party and find worthy foes in order to hunt and kill. I enjoyed the sneaking around and taking a subtle approach to what is usually a very un-subtle conflict and injecting a bit of roleplay into what is usually a hectic example of massed conflict without pause. I also liked interacting with the other predators and the loose alliance feel of the whole thing where we aren't really friends but aren't enemies either and the competition between us as we sought out worthy prey. That is mainly what I liked about it, the roleplay aspect and the unique experience of being the predator interacting with the other factions.
