Description of the incident:

around the time of a HC-unapproved mutiny by the MPs, I was "arrested" and stunbatonned by the mutinous MPs after witnessing the events, being deemed a threat for not "being with them" (I took no sides in the ordeal, merely trying to be a mediator between an XO losing control and mutinous MPs, as a normal PFC) and tossed naked into the brig (they left their baton in there with me for a bit before realizing it was missing) with no charges, staying for about 30 minutes before others realized I was in there.

What resolution are you seeking?

Honestly, I am fine with how things happened, and don't need any specific resolution, treating it as an event even if the admins were very unhappy with the MPs for the mutiny. However I was pointed to making a player report (my very first) as there were clear rulebreaks regarding the arrest, the lack of charges, the lack of being dressed during brigging, and the beating (They didn't even open the big area, got stuck in the tiny prison room.) I do think that MP training should be done however, as the MP in question didn't even know about bed-cuffing, instead just stunning me over and over again until they ran out of the room with me still cuffed and on the floor.. (Their name started with C, that's all I can remember)

Description of the incident:

I was the Captain of the USS Almayer during this incident. The Major had perished early on during the operation. During about an hour into the incident, I had noticed almost all of the MPs were drunk and the CMP had trouble even walking by himself. I called them in as we've had repots of dead bodies shipside yet they were unable to properly investigate it due to that. I informed HC, which authorized me to make the MPs take dialysis and then brig them if they are drunk by the time of inspection. Once I brought them to CIC, I informed them ahead of time that I'm giving them about 10 minutes to get dialysis then report back for inspection. I let them go, 10 minutes later I call them back. This time, the CMP, and a few other MPs failed the inspection again. However, the MW and most of the other MPs were no longer drunk.

I informed the CMP they, along with the other MP that was drunk, were to be arrested.

With the MPs already aware of the Provost's authorization for the arrests, the CMP refused to be arrested, and I could tell the other MPs were a bit too scared to arrest him so I tried to do it myself, he kept resisting arrest. after a bit of time some other MP stepped up and helped with the arrest.

I took the CMP to brig and told the MPs to process him for NoD, resisting arrest (which on top of that is ignoring the HC's order)

The MPs refused to strip the CMP to put him in the cell, I tried to do it and tried to appoint one to do so, but alas the Warden came up to me and said "For Brigonia!" then held his gun towards me. I quickly ran off as I was ill-equipped for combat. Shortly thereafter, the CMP ran towards me and tazed me, I fought back with my MK1. Unfortunately, he got a few more shots and managed to bring me down. Cuffed me, and started moving me to the brig. The provost from here shows up, as the provost was informing them of their incompetency, the CMP kept bringing me on the ground with aggressive grabbing. I later get released by order of the provost, CMP lies telling the provost that he was not drunk during the inspection, and then the provost orders the CMP arrest due to the SOs being witness that he was drunk during the inspection. As the provost was about to leave, I mentioned the MW had talked about brigonia and said that I will get him arrested as well. I moved on to arrest him, as soon as I told him he's under arrest when I was next to him in the brig room, he started firing at me with lethals. I ran away and took cover, calling for backup. Provost came in and finished the MW off and I think another MP but am not sure as I was heavily damaged.

The CMP then took the Normandy PO as hostage, deployed planetside to avoid arrest and execution (execution was authorized by the provost and I was gonna have them executed).

Marsoc chased down the CMP later on in the colony and exterminated them. the MW was permanently brigged, a few other MPs who failed inspection also ended up being brigged.


This was my perspective on the matter as the Captain of the ship, we can see that there's been several rule breaks here, especially for such high ranking roles such as CMP and MW.

Hi! I played Sgt Shelia Kaiwi, one of the MPs that round. I'll recount my point of view of that incredibly fucked round, I adminhelped about the extremely iffy circumstances and got a response by ScarletReign I believe, but I'm not sure if they were able to ever resolve anything.

Essentially we escorted briefing and it was business as usual, until we got a report of a "jamaican" (who, despite marines having no prior contact with predators whatsoever, the ship immediately goes to red alert and Beck, our CMP orders us to search maintenance with motion detectors) When we're done searching mainteance, we get a report from our synth that a marine was found in Alpha-Bravo prep, I respond, not knowing what the heck he meant, and discover a dead body. I check the area for forensic data or witnesses, but find none, and the MPs escort the body to medical to be revived. We find out that the victim wasn't shot or hit, but somehow lost all of their blood.
Once they were revived they said they couldn't remember anything, so thinking there was nothing more to do, we went back to alpha-bravo prep, only to find a room nearby and another dead body.

This was Nathan Stafford's "entertainment studio" event, which also had a dead body in a PMC uniform, 'jamie' who we questioned him about, only for the body to explode several times as well as the room's temperature being extremely cold and actually causing damage to everyone in it.
So, hearing no reports of anything else, the CMP, MW, and a few other MPs including myself decided to sit in on the room and see what this event was about. It kept becoming more progressively lowrp (the corpse exploding, a spaceman teleporting around) until my character became numb to all of the crazy shit around her and took two sips of the sake in the room's corner. Apparently that was enough to trigger word stammering, so I went along to drink the rest of the bottle to play it off for the funny event. Other MPs drank the tea and other goods in the room as well, which we'll find out later could apparently perma-drunk people and possibly deal clone damage for an entire hour.

Then we got a report that the CO had died, so I leave the room and immediately go to the CIC to confirm, only to find everything in order and the XO, who was rightfully surprised by my character being drunk. Turns out the CO had deployed with an honor guard without telling anyone at MP, and died planetside. The XO comes to believe the entire MP force is a disgrace, thanks to hearing drunk slurring on the radio, and orders me to go fetch the CMP from the entertainment studio. I run to do that, she complains that she "can't move" and is "mutating"
When I finally run back to the studio room she's gone, having apparently gone to CIC. Then the XO makes an announcement about more bodies showing up on the Almayer and MPs not being able to do anything about it.
So I go patrolling the upper deck and franticly call out on command, almayer, and MP frequencies for any information on these dead bodies, and try to work with the XO to find where the command hallway this was reported in was, but I never found out where the bodies were, and nobody responded to me, all the while the CMP and MW were still sitting around the entertainment studio, until the XO has enough and calls for the entire MP force to undergo mandatory dialysis.

Since that is a lawful order, I am OOCly obligated to comply as an MP. I go to the medical bay and get treated, only for the doctors and later a SEA to tell me that no medicines they tried or combination of dialysis was able to fix my drunkedness. I adminhelped and prayed both asking for someone to fix this, only to get marked as a reply not being necessary by someone I forgot the name of.

Considering the circumstances, I opt to stay in the medbay until needed, which I am to respond to a call in the hangar, only to be too slow to miss whatever incident was going on there.
Eventually I hear an admin Provost Admiral arrives after making an announcement via ARES for the MPs to cut their shit out and comply with the XO's orders, and then the Warden rebelling against that citing 'hail brigonia' or something, which is obviously not kosher for an MP to mutiny against not only the commander but an admiral as well.

Then the CMP, Beck, apparently says that the XO has no power to arrest her, (despite considering the circumstances she is impaired and the XO is the acting commander) only for the Admiral to authorize her arrest and authorize her execution. My character sees her show up in the hangar, acting very confused, and honestly conflicted with all of the shit going on at the time. I try to convince her to just comply and go talk to the admiral, but she says no, citing that they want to "BE" her.

Another MP shows up and asks me to help detain her, and my character agrees. We go to the Normandy dropship to try to detain her non-lethally, only to be throughly robusted by the MTs and a gaggle of other marines who enabled the CMP's escape. Entirely non-lethally, nobody died, thus allowing me to report our failure to Command and the XO by the time the normandy touched down planetside.

I continue to try to pursue the CMP for a bit in the FOB and other secure areas in the colony, then the XO calls off the pursuit. My character responds with an affirmative, then moves to go back to LZ2 only to get ambushed by a lurker and die.

That's the extent of my memory about that round, and I dearly hope I kept in line with MP OOC rules during that whole mess. Being a rank and file MP in a round with MW and CMPs present I look up to them for direction and clarification on how the round should go, but this round they simply weren't present or were actively trying to undermine the XO's authority.
Everything was very confusing, and I tried to do my best and continue doing my job as expected of an MP the entire time.

At this point, the incident is resolved when Beck is killed. I've cut down the amount of logs near the end considerably, because honestly, I've seen more than enough by now. In the interest of fairness, I did read them all, but chose not to include them in this due to the sheer amount of logs that are only vaguely related.

This entire incident is overwhelmingly disappointing. It is clear to me that Ahana, TarkoB, and KuntMaximus blatantly disregarded Marine Law and the Server Rules to varying degrees between them. All of which will be receiving blanket job bans from Military Police.

Resolved - Ahana, TarkoB, and KuntMaximus will be given job bans from all Military Police roles due to multiple violations of Server Rules and Marine Law.
