Kyrac's Predator Application

Post by Kyrac » 02 Aug 2015, 01:33

Byond ID: Kyrac

Marine Name (so we know who you are): Marcus Ranchers

Name of the character you want whitelisted (As in, the name your predator will use): Nur'im Ki'lik

Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor (viewtopic.php?f=57&t=2693)?: Yes, I've read over it.

Character background (an RP description as to why this character would be in this position, such as clan information. This will weigh HEAVILY on the decision, so make the information count):

Nur'im Ki'lik is a Young-Blood of the clan Nracha-dte vor'mekta' (Relentless Stalkers) residing on Yautja Prime and he's currently at the age of 317. He grew up in a hunting family that lived by the Clan's rules and in general, the hunting code of honor. Through early life, he'd expressed strength in his actions, and endurance. How he did this was through lifting the heavier things as others couldn't, and going higher and farther than others could. In his training, through sparring he had recognized his specialty in the usage of wrist-blades, from there on he'd preferred their usage in his combat and the plasma caster only if situations call for it. Many times had he nearly been defeated in his sparring due to his agility, but he had fought through for his honor.

Story as to how he achieved the status
Nur'im opened the door and stepped into a rather large room, a Yautja turns his head to him then back to the Elder, Nur'im then stepped forward and stood left of the other Yautja.

The Elder had then said,"You two are to head to the 'hunting grounds' where Nur'im may complete his training."

The Elder turned his head to the other Yautja that stood beside Nur'im and stated,"You'll be watching over him, do not assist."

They were then motioned to exit, and they both stepped out of the room.

From that point, they began trekking several miles through the Jungles of Yautja Prime and at one point, they had stopped.

Abruptly, the Yautja that'd been leading Nur'im had stopped

At that moment, Nur'im had been motioned to activate his active cloaking and to commence his hunt, the other Yautja had done same.

Nur'im was finally in the designated hunting ground, but he had no actual idea what to expect, other than if he were to survive and kill whatever lies there, that he'd be considered Blooded.

Nur'im extended blades from the bracers around his wrists, he'd tooken his movements slower from here and had searched the hunting grounds.

There were little to no sightings over-time, and he'd continued searching until an hour had past.

Through Nur'im' thermal vision, he'd noticed a heat-signature unlike anything other, it'd appeared to be a Xenomorph, and it was swift as it moved in the distance. Nur'im had then leaped to a high point on a hill, where he could get a better sighting, and from here, a vantage point.

He'd watch the prey for several minutes, examining it's behaviour and movement patterns, soon he'd find out that this prey is combat-worthy.

Whilst in his invisible state, he approached the being.

The Xenomorph wasn't aware of his presence, until 5 Meters away from it, Nur'im uncloaked and ran towards it with his lengthy, serrated wrist-blades.

HISSS~

Nur'im had extended his left arm, lunging towards the Xenomorph. Causing only a graze, the Xenomorphs abdomen only presenting a minor abrasion.

The Xenomorph had then brought a flurry of it's claws to the Nur'im, raising his blades crossed to protect him from the sharp claws.

An opening was presented, which Nur'im had thrusted his right blade into the Xenomorph's chest, spraying an acidic green blood onto the Yautja's chestplate.

SHHHCK~

The Xenomorph had quivered a bit as it had fallen to the ground, and under it a thick pool of green blood.

Nur'im stepped forth to the body and kneeled down right next it, he stuck a single finger into the blood at it's side, he then applied the acidic blood to his helmet with his Clan's emblem.

From this point on, he was 'Bloodied', and him and the other Yautja had returned to his Clan's home.

In summary:
Nur'im and another Yautja of his clan were sent to the hunting grounds on the planet they resided on, the other Yautja was meant to watch over him if he was able to complete the hunt. Over time, he watched the area in his cloak and searched for prey. Soon enough, he encountered a Xenomorph which he'd studied to ensure it was valid prey, he then engaged it and defeated it in battle. He was at that point given his new-found status of 'Bloodied'.

After granted his bloodied Status:

Nur'im was sent with the Clan Mother-Ship to search for an appropriate hunt til they encountered LV-624. The area was able to sustain life and had life on it, and he was one of the Yautja deployed to find a suitable hunt.

Why should we whitelist you?: I'm a long time player of Colonial Marines and Space Station 13 and I can just help add spice to the round like every other predator would. I can contribute a sense of fear to the Marines, a target that they should worry about.

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?: Yes, so I'll abide the code and the rules.

Edits have been made here and there, but they aren't going to happen again from here on in - 8/2/2015 - 12:44 AM MST

I enjoyed reading your Bio mainly because your writing style was interesting... although I cringed when you wrote "Tooken" instead of "Taken".
Problem is, that's not really a Bio or Background information. You wrote a short story and I don't really know much about your Predator aside that he engaged a Xeno and became Bloodied.

I don't really know much about you, you're kind of in the same situation as Caryl was in. For a long time player and staff member you'd expect more involvement from you in the community and well you're not at all involved. You were also recently demoted from a Admin to Mod, which was due to inactivity. To be honest, I've never seen a Marcus Ranchers in game before... The only reason Kyrac is familiar to me is because I checked the staff list, other than though I have no idea who you are.

-1 For reasons stated above.

I understand what your getting at, I was very unsure as to whether or not to post this with the description I had. If need be, I'll delete this and give it another go later. My activity was very mild around my late-trialmin state, and my extension timer went out, which is why I was dropped back down. The whole Xenomorph killing thing was adopted from a bit of studying, although it varies on how the Bloodied status is obtained, so I wasn't too original with that. Overall, Xenomorphs are formidable opponents as said in AvP.

Hopefully I can get my name out there though at some point.

If denied, is there a timer to when I can make a new post?

I am going to have to go with a +1. While yes I find your format to be very very nice. I just don't see you around as much as I honestly think I should see you. However yet again this is more of a whitelist for when you feel like being a predator you can always ask a admin to be one or to join as one in the future. I assume thats the plan. But yeah +1

Ever since I was set down to Moderator, I felt more motivated for some reason, to play more and work harder.
