Grabs used against hosts

Post by lbnesquik » 28 Jun 2017, 04:45

Bug Description:
So here the deal. When you have someone that is an host and is nested, if you grab them, supposedly as anyone, the grab resist will have priority over the nest resist. This make escaping out of nests completly impossible given the delay between actions on the server. While it may be a viable tactic, unless the host trapped there has a shotgun, it is pretty unlikely for anyone to manage to kill or even seriously injure any xenos on hand. It give the players who got face hugged something to do instead of merely waiting to be able to ghost. It is a 2-6 minutes wait after all. (Yes i am salty of this exploit especially given that it was discovered when a sentinel was trying to meme around)

Steps to reproduce:
1.Get someone in a resin nest
2.Grab them
3.Watch as they can't resist out of nest without resisting the grab first, giving you time to grab them again.

This sounds like bug abuse to me, I'd strongly suggest ahelping any xeno that does this.
Garth Pawolski, or is it Powalski?

Back in action.

That's a bug. I'll get it to staff.

Abusing it, is classified as bug abuse. Warn, then a ban.

On that note, does anyone know if being taken out of a nest and re-nested reset the whole process as well? Usually don't see that being done intentionally but I would guess there's room for abuse with that as well.

And with the new 'no cooldown' on nesting, this is made even more viable. Nesting has been being abused for a while now.
