severed handless left arm is invisible if thrown to the east

Bug Description:
if you pick up a handless left arm and throw it to the east it has no sprite. it has a sprite in the other 3 directions though

Steps to reproduce:
1. remove left hand from left arm
2. remove left arm from left torso
3. throw left arm in an eastward direction
4. spooky scary invisible arm
