Dhi'rauta Halkrath (Cunning Shadow)

Post by Jack McIntyre » 26 Aug 2018, 02:00

Byond ID:Jack McIntyre

Marine Name (so we know who you are, if you play alien mostly, state that here): Adam 'Apache' Hunter

Name of the character you want whitelisted (The name your predator will use. This must match your in-game predator name): Dhi'rauta Halkrath

Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor? Yep

Character background (A very BRIEF description of your predators background):

He looked at the crystallized icicles on the edge of the window as their ship slowly approached the surface of the planet below, it was his first hunt and Halkrath was lost in his own thoughts until he felt a firm hand on his shoulder as he looked up at his old mentor, the unmasked predator looked at Halkrath and gave him a nod, no words were said, but it was just a reassurance to his pupil that he would be fine on this hunt. It was to be a normal hunt, the three predators were to finish cleaning up a hive that had been cleared by a group of elites who had taken out the queen and had decided that the remaining serpents would be a good way to test some of their unbloodied so they stood over the three that would be going down to the surface below. The predators were given just a few tools for the hunt, the other two students were already eager and at the landing ramp as Halkrath joined them. The door slowly opened as the huntsmaster let out a roar as the students would jump towards the treeline below. Halkrath landed a few feet from the other two and they rallied up at a small clearing in the woods. They would push through the jungle together, not worrying about cloaking themselves...with the serpents they would be seen anyway, so instead they moved quickly, all eager to prove themselves in the hunt and become bloodied.

The predators had landed on the jungle of the planet as Halkrath felt the hot sun on his skin as he looked around in his mask scanning with his visor. His comrades did the same as they started to move towards the cave system that the elites had cleared already. They were all eager to move on with the hunt and prove themselves to become bloodied. The trio found the cave entrance soon enough as they made sure that it was secure before moving in slowly, Halkrath released his wrist gauntlets
the blades ready to seek the blood of the serpents as his comrades always prepared their weapons. As they moved through the cave system they would not find any of the serpents, but heard the hissing from those that were inside. This would lead to their downfall as when they moved into a small temple inside of the cave system, they would walk into a small chamber when they find themselves walking into a ambush. The hunters quickly went back to back as they prepare to fight their enemies as the serpents attacked them.

His first kill was not as he had envisioned, his first kill was that of a serpents who had tried to hit his side and instead caught the edge of his wrist blade as Halkrath tore into it as he moved onto the next. His wrist blades would not last however, after he had slayed two of the serpents they were already dissolving from the acidic blood, they had not been given the same equipment as their bloodied members of their tribes to give them more of a challenge during the hunt. One of his comrades saved his life by stabbing his combi stick into a serpent who had gotten behind Halkrath, as the three fought for their lives. The elites had been wrong in their estimates on how many of the serpents had been left and now the trio would have to withstand their onslaught. Halkrath took out his ceremonial dagger that was passed down in his family as he would stab the next serpent who came at him, the blade did not melt like his wrist blades due to the fact that it was the only thing made out of a stronger material for the unbloodied. He would continue his fight with the ceremonial blade as he would cut down serpents with his comrades. However as the battle raged his comrades and himself would soon tire, as finally one of his comrades would fall. The hunter was tackled and bitten through his visor as Halkrath would throw a smart disk cutting down the serpents swarming his comrade. He would let out a fierce roar seeing his comrade fall as he was stabbed through the shoulder by one of his serpent's tails. He would take his dagger slamming it into the serpent behind him as he would let out a roar of pain. However the battle was won as his comrade finished off the last serpent who attacked them.

Halkrath was on his knees as his comrade stood combi stick in hand ready for anymore threats to emerge when suddenly the elites of the previous hunt uncloaked around them. It seems that they had been watching over the battle of the unbloodied hunters and the serpents ready to step in in case they were to be taken out by the swarm. They stood over the exhausted hunters as they would just give a nod to the hunters, as custom dictated the hunters cut off the tails of one of their kills and marked themselves in the marking of the shadow clan. They would also mark their fallen comrade for although he fell, he had taken many of the serpents with him. They would honor him by also giving him a mark of the shadow clan so that he could be honored in death. As they carried his fellow hunter out of the caves after treating Halkrath's shoulder, the now bloodied and elites along with the body of their fallen comrade would leave the planet. Halkrath would go on to many more hunts, one of which was the one that would enable him to gain the title of elite. Going on a hunt with his co-hunter from his very first hunt and one he met and grown acquainted too, they would undertake the trial to earn the status of elite. They three stood tall and although they lost the new comer Halkrath and his hunting brother from his first hunt would earn the title of elite predators.

Halkrath would be stirred from his flashback as he would hear a shout from the cockpit and he would look at the three predators standing in front of him, just like every predator before them, they would be going on their first hunt to become bloodied. He would smile a bit before slipping on his helmet as he would turn to face the unbloodied going on their first hunt and give a loud shout for them to prepare for the dangers they would soon be facing. He would be watching from the shadows just like the elites who watched him on his first hunt. To make sure that if the new predators failed...the serpents would not make a new home.

How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)?

More stealthy, only engaging the enemy if needed and mentoring other predators who may be on their first hunt. I had a pred before when I was staff and while I was mentored myself by another pred, Casca at the time, I then went on to complete hunts. I gave myself challenges and usually didn't try to influence the game to hard for one side or the other. I gave myself a few challenges as well as cleaned out a hive one round due to the fact that the queen ordered the whole hive to hunt me when I was the only predator. I usually play the role of not bugging the xenos unless they bug me first so when I had the whole hive on me, I just wiped them out thus adding a bit more recognition for me to give me the title of elite. Again I don't plan on doing this if I can help it, I would much rather just help new predators as well as just watching the battle between marines and xenos and maybe just picking off someone who catches my eye of being worthy of my trophy rack.

Why should we whitelist you?
I was a pred before we actually had the wipe so I know how to actually not screw over either side and actually prefer to help out other predator players as well as being sort of a hunt master for them. That way I can help them stick with the code during their hunts and add some more roleplay.

Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
No, I was banned from squad leader long ago due to a bit of a miscommunication from the CO and myself along with Xur however during the complaint the CO dropped the complaint however Feweh still job banned me.

Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
Nope

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Yep

Well written story. Did you recently return? I remember the old Xur days and how chaotic things would get with him.

Yea I recently came back after Bill Carson kept telling me how great CM has gotten so props to the community on that. I came on to play again as SL and honestly I have missed being able to lead marines into battle.

Formatting is a little lame, other than that it's a pretty good application.

Just don't refer to yourself as Cunning Shadow IC of course, the edge hurts my fingers as I type this <3.

I was to analyze this application, but I wish to know like bobby if you're still kicking. I will refrain myself from posting a review until we receive an answer from you.
