ka T'orag-na Kv'var-de (lurking hunter)

Post by Jdobbin49 » 08 Aug 2016, 09:47

Byond ID: Jdobbin49

Marine Name (so we know who you are, if you play alien mostly, state that here):
Philip Greenwall, I generally play alien more than marine but I have been playing more marines recently as I saw that was a problem in toroic's app.

Name of the character you want whitelisted (The name your predator will use. This must match your in-game predator name):
ka Torag-na Kv'var-de (permission was given to use clan name)

Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor?
Yes I am.

Character background (A very BRIEF description of your predator’s background):
ka T'orag-na was different to the other yautja, while some loved the thrill of the hunt so much they couldn't wait to finish it while ka T'orag-na preferred to extend the hunt and allow it to last as long as possible, to soak up every ounce of adrenaline that he could get. He liked to tease his prey, whispering from the darkness to get their heart’s beating faster and faster.

When it came to the actual fighting part of the hunt he would always have his trusty combi-stick and of course his wrist blades, he didn't particularly like ranged weapons like the plasma caster as he thought it was unfair to his prey that they couldn't see what hit them, he would much rather be up close and personal.

He was a very proud yautja, his trophies that he had collected over his time of hunting were kept in pristine condition and were put out on display on his ship for any that made it on to his ship to see, he was still young so his trophy count was low but he was certain and determined that he would acquire more.

He had been on a few hunts before, all successful of course, he was very proud that never once had he failed a hunt, they were not extraordinary hunts of course, not like some of the legendary yautja that he has looked up to but they were still hunts none the less. In total he had been on 9 hunts but out of all of them there was only one that he was truly proud of and that was when he had killed a xenomorph praetorian, the fight had been his 5th and that had not actually been his initial target, his target was meant to be a runner but when he met this praetorian conditions changed. It was a fierce battle and ka T’orag-na was not without his injuries but after a long time of attacking this serpent from all directions, bashing it with his combi-stick then following up with a slash of his wrist blades the beast finally fell. The head of that praetorian is his prise possession but he was certain as he went on more hunts he would find many prey much stronger than a praetorian… and he would win.

How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)?
As a predator I would stay to the side, usually cloaked, I feel that I would play the stealthy route, stay hidden and stalk my prey, frighten them with the different audio sounds to get the blood pumping and make it an exciting hunt. I would have no preference in what I hunt but whatever I do hunt will be honourable.
I would try (occasionally) to ally myself with one side at least temporarily to assist them if they show me that they are worthy through an honourable duel.
In which way my predator would fight would generally be through melee combat as my preferred weapon as a predator would be the combi-stick and I may use the occasional trap here and there to taunt the prey even more without even having to be near it.

Why should we whitelist you?
I feel that I would be capable to be whitelisted because I have had some very good moments on the server due to RP but when you think about it there is only so much you can do as a marine and alien. I feel that becoming a predator would allow the restraints of RP to be lifted a bit so that it would be easier to have really great moments and show my RP skills with other players of all 3 races.

Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
Nope.

Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
Nope.

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Indeed I do.

Neutral.

Don't really know you as a marine player, and have never really seen you try to roleplay.

You just returned to the staff team a couple of weeks ago. This will sit here for awhile.

The bio is pretty bland and generic. The first line literally states, "ka T'orag-na was different to the other yautja, while some loved the thrill of the hunt so much they couldn't wait to finish it while ka T'orag-na preferred to extend the hunt and allow it to last as long as possible, to soak up every ounce of adrenaline that he could get. He liked to tease his prey, whispering from the darkness to get their heart’s beating faster and faster." when in reality thats most of the hunters.

Not up to par with other applications. -1.

Yeah that's fair enough killy, definitely could have worked on the story a bit more and made it less bland and generic as you say.

I'm not entirely sure on what to say about the application. I'm neutral like Killy for the most part, but I'll try to spot you amongst the others when I have some time and make out your character.
NEUTRAL... For now.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

I know Dob more OOC than I do IC, but he's always been enthusiastic about making other people's rounds better and can be trusted with a special role +1
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

Speaking as a normal member, I agree with Joe and Biolock that Dobbins isn't mean-spirited at all based on my interactions with him which is a good thing when it comes to powerful roles.

I seriously have almost never noticed you or your RP... Although I was alright with your presence and everything. Sorry for taking this long to reply, but I'll give you a +1 as to test your abilities, but it's mostly because I've seen your personality appeared to be good and I know you can take the role and even improve yourself with it amonst your time on it if you lack any of the abilities required (AKA: I know you can do it, but be careful not to dissapoint my trust in you~)

Remember to follow elder's advices and orders. Some standard yautjas make mistakes so be careful of that too, and if you get the app I hope to see more of your RP under better situations and to actually enjoy a nice hunt with you.

I'm not familiar with you outside of you being staff, and the application was okay. Neutral.

I do apologise I know I said I would be on the server trying to show off my RPing but I was away all weekend and I'm stuffed under schoolwork that I'm currently working my way through.
Over the next day or so I will be getting back onto the server again on a regular basis as per usual.

For a while I won't be as my computer has broken down yet again but once that's back up and I've got a few exams coming up after Halloween but yes I will still be playing.
