Been playing a lot of S.T.A.L.K.E.R CoC recently, and I just wanted to know if there are many Stalker players here what your favorite faction is, what mods you love and what title you like the most. Personally I like Shadow Of Chernobyl, with the mod Call Of Chernobyl.

Dude, just get one of the mega-mods that turned into their own game.
For example, Stalkersoup combines all locations, weapons and content from all stalker games, fills it to the brim with original content and then tops it off with a quest generator and an original storyline.

With the announcement of Stalker 2 and my investigation over the game I've decided to download the whole trilogy and play the 3 games to pick up the pace.

Any tips?

If you played them before just download some mods for graphics like Autumn Aurora. Clear sky can be skipped as it is the worst of the trilogy, not adding much to the story and gameplay. After completing them all, start to download various mods like "Narodnaya Solianka" for ShoC, or "Lost Alpha" that brings nearly completly new story, new mechanics and new items.

Call of Chernobyl is a "jury-rigged" connection between all games and with mods to this mod like "Dead Air" you can feel like it's a separate, new instalment to the franchise.

Another tip is to always be sceptical for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. date of release. Even mod like "Lost Alpha" had delays to the point of it turning into a running joke.

Master difficulty, aim for the head, save a lot and save a LOT!

Been playing Call of Chernobyl with the DoctorX quest mod right now. Adds a different main questline for each faction, along with some new side quests and stuff. Pretty fun so far, though the helicopter patrols are a bit of a pain in the ass.

basically adds all of the other game areas, weapons and monsters into SoC, as well as adding a deep original storyline.
hell, the mod is so big that it's standalone now, you don't even need SoC to play it.

If you're trying to get a decent mod for a Stalker game, grab Dead Air - it's standalone and doesn't require the standard game. Or you can mod CoP with Last Day, or Misery.

I'm in love with Metro 2033, Stalker's just alright. But I like it nonetheless.
