So, there's a new game on steam called Bomber Crew where you control a WW2 bomber and fly missions over Europe. You manage your crew and purchase upgrades for your aircraft which help with increasingly difficult missions. I was perusing through the steam discussions and I saw a couple familiar faces from CM in the threads so I thought I'd make a thread about it on here as well as a good place to share tips & tricks about the game.

• If you send your engineer out on the aircraft's wing to do a repair, make sure to give him a parachute as it will save him if he is thrown off.

• Always use your focus as the enemy fighters are coming straight at your aircraft, you can easily take out all of or most of a squadron if you time it right

• You don't have to do the critical missions right when they pop up, they simply progress the campaign and increase the difficulty so grind out some more regular missions before you tackle them

Yeah, that's probably my closest comparison honestly. Like B-17 the Might 8th mixed with FTL.

Been playing that all week so far and its one of the best games I've played in a while. I only regret my attachment to my crew due to the broken heart I keep getting from the missions they get shot down on.

Best way to kill them is to fight them alone, your gunners as far as I can tell don't prioritize any fighter specific aircraft so if you're getting swarmed by a ton of fighters at once along with an Ace it's pretty rough. My recommendation would be to try and use focus with your gunners on the Ace right when they're approaching so you get in a lot of good damage. Once your gunners reach level 8 they get incendiary ammunition which along with the focus ability just tears though enemy aircraft.

If you have parachutes, the crew will abandon the craft at the first sight of trouble.

Looks like a pretty cool game
