Basic ballistic weaponry: Rifles - Shotguns - Snipers - Pistols - SAW LMG - Rocket launcher - Flamethrower

Laser weaponry MK I - MK II - MK III: Rifles - Shotguns - Snipers - Pistols - Heavy duty laser - Minigun ( SAW )

Melee: Stun batons - Knifes - Shields

Armour:
Jackal - Standard issue armor, basic stats all around
Fox - Improved version of the jackal, higher resistance to fire weaponry, more pylons required

Division weaponry: An updated, all around better version of the ballistics, and it has: Rifles - Shotguns - Snipers - SAW HMGs - SMGs - Cannons (yes, cannons) - Miniguns

Anti-Matter weaponry: As the name implies, a really devastating, really low ammo weapon set, for now limited to: Rifles - Pistols - Snipers - Cannons

A little comment about weapons, not all weapons are just a direct upgrade, some aliens may be resistant to X type of gun and weak to X type, so be sure to specify what weapon you want and what kind, it's kinda like SS13, we have some aliens with high fire or energy resistance and low brute/ballistic resistance

Never played this XCOM but uh I would take accuracy and reactions over most things if possible. Don't want to get stabbed in the back when I have a loaded gun to use.

This is the most underrated XCOM, it's so fucking fun. Apple Briggs, HE Autocannon, Megapol Amor. And you ABSOLUTELY MUST join up with the Androids and Mutants. Solidarity! It's a shame that you only have a female hybrid, Apocalypse Psionics are less awesome than UFO Defense Psionics but still cool.

Never tried Apoc or TFTD so it's neat to have some involvement. Hopefully we don't die too soon.

In my experience Apoc's first month is much less of a total meatgrinder than UFO Defense, and it's not uncommon to have missions in which the whole team lives.
