Prison map - recreated in prison architect.

Post by Jaketeaking » 04 Aug 2018, 21:59

So, after chatting with a few people, I decided to recreate the prison map in prison architect. apparently, the prison map itself is based off a prison architect map, but modified, so I guess you could call mine, a recreation of a recreation?.
Its 95% Accurate, when it comes to walls and doors, but ive taken some liberties like converting research into classrooms, and LZ2 is a workshop, plus the yard is a different shape. in addition to this, I haven't recreated the civilian residences, as I don't feel they serve enough of a purpose to warrant recreation, except maybe some fancy cells.

Also, the panopticon cells have been modified slightly, to make them nice. I put all my death row inmates there. There are still a few empty rooms, which I cant really fit anything in and have it look nice, sadly.
in terms of actually running it, it has room for 80 medium security, and 130 max security, in the way that ive mapped it, with an additional 40 min sec, which I placed around the central yard.
Mostly, its been easy running, my inmates were getting angry until i sent my armed guards to patrol and surpress them, but its all calmed down, and now i only average 2 deaths a day, not the 15+ it was whilst i was sorting the regime. although, i occasionally still get massive tunnel networks, my most recent one, from the central yard cells, all the way through the kitchens, through the offices, to escape.
I wish I could upload the map file, but I don't know how, and I don't use the steam version, so, sorry about that.

Someone finally did it... The real question is though, does it actually function as a great prison.
Also is this posted on the steam workshop?

2 deaths a day on average, with 4 different categories of prisoner. I set my parole to 7%, and i'd say about half of my prisoners make it through.
it took some working out, with a lot of regime changes, a few riots, and armed guards, but for the most part, everything runs smooth, apart from when i gotta lockdown to hold an execution, or i do an impromtu shakedown, which i now schedule to run once a week in game time.

as to if its on the workshop, no. i dont use the steam version, so no.
