The XCOM 2 Tactical Legacy Pack: Memory Central

Post by AmazinglyAmazing » 16 Oct 2018, 18:36

So Fireaxis recently released a new DLC for XCOM 2 (though you'll need War of the Chosen) called the Tactical Legacy Pack, to thank the player-base, especially the ones who have been around since XCOM: EU/EW and UFO Defense. I gotta say, it's awesome.

It adds:
- 2 Soundtracks: One based off of UFO Defense, while the other is the old Enemy Within/Unknown soundtrack.

- Legacy Operations: Small stories told by Bradford which are pretty fun and challenging, especially on Nightmare mode. Upgrade your soldiers to improve as levels get progressively harder, and see and play as some familiar faces along the way.

- Tactical Ops: Basically like the new Legacy Ops, but it's never ending until you goof up and die horribly.

- Skirmishes: Customizable Missions of all types. Select your maps, mission type, soldiers, their loadouts, and your enemy.

- New Customization Options: Includes new armor sets for the Ranger, Specialist, Grenadier, and Sharpshooter, all relating and referencing back to EW/EU, along with some new helmets.

- Old War Weapons: Slightly better weapons also referencing back to EW/EU, though there is only one of each, and they automatically upgrade from each unlocked weapon tier.

- New Maps: A bunch of new maps have been made, including a couple of remasters of old EU/EW maps.

I've been playing the crap out of XCOM 2 with this new DLC, and I must say, it's awesome. If you have XCOM 2, but not War of the Chosen, I highly suggest you do, as it will make the game a hell of a lot more fun to play.
