Well, why not check out Rogue System? It's a starship simulator currently in Alpha, with monthly updates, one working ship - and one more in the works, with a total of three planned for the initial release.

Honestly, I find it a very compelling simulation, although - fair warning - there's nothing much to do yet. Still, should definitely be watched.

I don't necessarily mind the idea of a game like this, but if it's anything like a flight simulator, then I'm worried. I did a flight simulation once. It was....horrendous. Had it been real flight, I would've died at least 56 times.

I have bought the game and I need to admit it's very special. You may like it, or you may not, that's yoru decision.

Rogue system is very complex and you really have to learn each procedure several times until you have even got a slight clue what is happening and why it is happening.
