What is your favourite Xeno caste?

Though if that terrible Xeno vision update does not go away you won't be seeing me in game anymore.Even as a marine,because killing blind xenoes won't feel the same as killing the xeno before update.

It depends. I typically like to play an upgraded spitter or a prae. I like spitter for harassing the flanks and helping bring in unwilling hosts. I like using the praes pheromones and spits to support pushes but find the lack of speed and the fact that it's a bullet magnet makes my life expectancy short if I don't play conservatively

You don't need to be very fast unless you are in the open ground doudging bullets,you can just use cover,if you have weeds.If you really need speed just emit frenzy.If someone is chasing you,Neuro them,or put some stiky if they are really far away.A pretorian in the open ground without target is vulnurable target,but so is The queen and even Сrusher.Use environment to your advantage,that's how you win,and not just as pretorian,even as marine.

I have been too, though not entirely intentionally. I got my roles set so smartgunner high, specialist is med, and if I don't get those spots it will 9/10 times spawn me as xeno. Seeing as smartgunner and specialist are limited roles I've been playing a lot of xeno lately. It's all good xeno is fun and I'm looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about the update when I get off work.

On topic for the thread: Ravager. I tried crusher a few times but it feels too sluggish and flamethrowers suck. Ravager lets you ignore flames and the hit-and-run playstyle suits me.

Anyways i almost never evolve into a t3 because i usually die, my 2nd favorite xeno caste is probably the crusher. That noise when you charge into people and their sprite turns red and the screams are satisfying.

I drone main and Sentinel half-time. Love building me sum Nightmare Mode hives, when I have the opportunity. Also leaves me open to Queen if the Queen falls. I do a pretty good leader...but people tend to hate my playstyle, so I just stick to what I do best. Build and fortify, or guard.

Spitter hands down for sheer versatility.

-Small size for vent crawl and more agile than the sluggish Prae and comparably squishy Boiler
-Neurotoxin for easy captures or melee kills
-Acid spit for ranged damage and suppression
-Moderately strong corrosive acid for melting defenses, equipment, and walls
-Decent pool of health, plasma, and plasma regen to keep abilities ready at a moment's notice and tank some heavier damage at higher upgrade tiers

Crusher, because ramming some lucky ass marine and breaking his bones gives me such pleasure, I almost achieve nirvana, that feeling is so good its illegal in 7 states.

and if you crush more than 2 marines in a single charge...I will catch an ERP ban just describing how I feel after that.

Drone. Everyone wants to do the fighting, someone's gotta do the dirty work of building and fortifying the hive. It's actually pretty relaxing. Also it's not a thankless job since any queen would appreciate you transfering plasma so they can heal.

Would love to learn Carrier one day.

I think the Crusher deserves more love, as it's the backbone for a good frontal assault. It draws fire, pokes a hole in defenses, and takes off a few limbs here and there.
Sure, it's not for everyone, but it's pretty damn helpful.

Sentinel (Spitter if I am not too laggy), I am laggy as hell at times so I can't melee, and I don't want to waste a T2/T3 due to my underperformance.

Why Sentinel (or Spitter)? I like to melt stuff, flares, (unguarded) FOB. Spit gives me a reliable way to calm the marine down when my tackel clicks are not registering due to lag.

Runner: I've found that playing like a semi suicidal version of sonic the hedgehog is the most fun way of playing xeno. Most of the time I only barely bother to slash marines at all, unless I see one walking around alone like ambush bait. But the feeling of successfully managing to perform a FF inducing dive straight through a horde of marines, and seeing the baldies buckshot decapitate marines you run past is absolutely heavenly. Runners pounce is best used purely for juking and escaping.

I prefer Hunters for their RIP AND TEAR ability, with a secondary preference towards Carriers for the THE FACE RAPE TRAIN HAS NO BREAKS power.

I have kept whole squads back on my own as an Elite Spitter, By using cover and darkness to my advantage.

I also like Prae because the pheromones once you get past mature are REALLY useful, so sacrificing ventcrawl is really worth it. If you feel like prae is really slow, just use frenzy and you will be just as fast as any spitter, even more if you make it elite or ancient
