Friendly reminder, lads.

Queens don't get damaged by fire, so charge through flames and get all the foolish flamers who think they can kill ya!

Actually, I think Ravs get powered up by fire.

I think most importantly, fire does not _stick_ to them, but yeah, they still take some damage from walking on fire-tiles.
But neither flamethrower nor incendiary can make fire stick to them

Ravagers receive a bonus on speed and attack, but are more vulnerable to damage.

The Queen is completely immune to fire, which can be extremely useful in certain situations. Daenerys.png.

The Crusher is immune to any type of grenade (except for the Yautjas bracelets, which is by no means a grenade but is in some way an explosive.). Even though it is resistant to explosives, its weakness is fire, which is capable of killing it quickly.

here are some additional friendly reminders, from me:

-break the APCs in the prep rooms. acid melt the prep vendors.

-acid melt weylandmeds. acid melt autolathes. acid melt closed lockers(it makes the locker's contents disappear). acid melt first aid kits. acid melt walls of all kinds to make shortcuts and passages(but not too much, leave some walls intact to provide cover from bullets)

-break the hallway APCs and hangar APC to plunge large areas into darkness quick

-break lights in general wherever you go, use the eyeball button thing under your health to turn off your night vision briefly to ascertain light sources

-drag off marine corpses to a godforsaken corner so their suit lights dont light up everywhere

-acid melt flares and especially flashlights and weapons with rail lights

-break SD APC, why not, go hog wild

-acid into and break almayer radio APC, it's great

-after killing the people in CIC, break CIC APC

-i dont know about killing ARES but go for it if you really want to, hopefully youre doing this as a tough enough creature to survive the blast or you have accompaniment to drag your dying ass onto weeds

-even if the APCs are broken feel free to break light fixtures too as you pass by in case they ever fix the APCs

-retreating and waiting is an option. the marines are here to kill you. you're the defender here, not them. youre not under any obligation to keep running into their barricades and dying until there are only 6 of you left

-dont bash your head into the same section of ultra reinforced marine barricades over and over until they wise up and chuck grenades at you and kill you

-dont try to fight anywhere you dont have darkness and weeds nearby

-dont scatter apart and try to solo the first gaggle of marines you lay eyes on. no i dont care if youre a leet hunter or crusher or rav youre going to be a leet dead idiot at this rate

-learn to read the words that appear in the text box in the lower right side of the screen, they often contain meaningful information that even leet xenos can benefit from

-when you need weeds, dont say "need weeds" or "need weeds here" use your words to specify where you need the weeds at. drones dont know where "here" is. if they knew where "here" is there would probably already be weeds there

-if you have a lot of spare SSD larva, it is a clue. it may mean that youre playing on lowpop-ish time and it is going to be up to 8 or so active xeno players to hold off ~50 or 60 marines.

-dont die

-stop dying!

-why arent you listening!

-that said, sometimes there is a correct time to die

-if the SD goes off you all die anyways.

-don't waste your numbers with half-hearted weak presses and retreats on the SD room. i have seen 40 xenomorphs held at bay and gradually chipped down by a dozen or so marines behind a barricade at the SD room. by the time the final rod was up, there were 8 xenos left because of failed half-hearted pushes. if they had piled all 40 in at the start and been willing the step over the bodies of their teammates, the survivors could have slaughtered those marines while they reloaded or switched to piddly sidearm pistols.
