I usually don't aim at the torso but it's amazing how much damage you can do to the heart when you do that, you see I was aimed at the heart once.

That girl who aimed at me and I loved crushed me more than a thousand ravagers could... rip

From a doctor perspective. Chest damage is the most annoying to deal with. (with the assumption that there wasn't any FF.)

a full chest surgery has 11 steps.
  • IMS, Fixovein, saw, retractor, ATK, Hemostat (if infected), retractor, bone gel, bone gel, bone setter, cautery.
  • symptoms include shortness of breath, pain in the chest, lack of blood circulation leading to oxygen damage, the potential for toxin damage, and reduced mobility.
a full groin surgery has 7.
  • IMS, Fixovein, ATK, Hemostat, bone gel, bone setter, cautery.
  • symptoms include, toxin damage, reduced mobility.
MOST head surgeries only have 5 steps. (those imidazoline-alkysine pills are super easy to make.)
  • IMS, Fixovein, bone gel, bone setter, cautery.
  • Symptoms include, blurry vision, and forgetting how to use certain weapons or skills.
Limbs can have IB therefore their full also has 5 steps.
  • IMS, Fixovein, bone gel, bone setter, cautery.
  • symptoms include, poor grip for arms, and reduced mobility for legs.
Hands and feet can't(?) get IB therefore their steps are always 4.
  • IMS, bone gel, bone setter, cautery.
  • symptoms include, poor grip for hands, reduced mobility for feet.
should your target be able to retreat and receive medical attention, but before they have retreated to the Almayer, any splints they acquire will fall off after a mere trifling slash to the afflicted limb.

If you've got the time to stalk your target, it might pay off to inspect them and go after already broken limbs.

What does this mean?

To truely screw over medbay and the marines in general, you gotta vary the locations hit according to caste. those heavy hitters, crushers and ravagers, should aim for the chest. They get through the armor and lay down the big damage. lurkers can go head or groin. and runners should be nipping at those heels and fingers. So coordinate with your hive and dole out limb targets. coordinate with a buddy to get both of a marines hands.

But ya know, this is just playing devils advocate you dirty xenos.

Snippity snap
Also targeting chest can cause ruptured lungs, which on its own is already a nightmare for marines and unprepared doctors, so there's that.

Well, the boots are pertty tough, but the gloves are neo-polyfibrino technology. Which part of armor is more robust, the kneepads or the elbow pads?

It's the head these days, now that you can't drag corpses you need to maximize the chance of permakilling them with a decap. I used to be a groin man, now I'm a head man. Just go for the head, 24/7.

Breaking/removing arms puts them in enough pain to slow almost as much as de-footing though.

I'm still just aiming for the chest --if you can break the chest you cause a lot of pain, and cause the most potential organ damage.

I remember one time I was given control of a queen that went SSD and found they were targetting the mouth. I know shooting there typically results in a decap but I can't for the life of me comprehend if it works the same for melee attacks or if that's what they were going for.

One thing to note is that one-handed marines CANNOT RELOAD WEAPONS. Unless it's a machete-unga, de-handing a marine will make them unable to fight after a while even with good medic helping them.
Essentially, this means Ravs are most definitely best off aiming for hands. I would say lurkers get more mileage out of feet, since the greatest threat to lurkers is numbers anyways, and slow marines have harder time staying together.

Mag based weapons can be reloaded with one hand through tactical reloading. Dragging a mag on to the gun. But it's not like firing one handed is very useful anyways.

Shotguns, on the other hand, cannot. So their cuckshot will only cuck themselves once they lack the hand.

You do realize I witnessed myself and a lot of delta robustos having their buddies reloading for them and goong gyro rds?

Even better. Aliens tends to rush one handed murreins because they can't wield and often dies if it's a gyro.

Sooo. Chest. IB and lungs injuries are aweful.

I had always wondered how you did a tac reload in this codebase. Thanks.

Yeah I also forgot a dirty trick you xeno should know.
Don't walk up to a marine slowly for fun of the thrill because he has just one hand and a M41A rifle.

Because I've already been that cunt marine, and I had masterkey, and that kills at PB. So, yeah. One handed -can- still be deadly.

Chest, one big crit and the poor bastard you just slashed has a busted chest and organ spaghetti. If you want to be a meme-xeno, go for groin and laugh at your prey.

I don't think it really matters honestly, its so much based on rng. I have hit people 20 times as a mature ravager before they die and then 1 shot their head off as a spitter. I have cut heads off when targeting hands and then hit someone in the head as an elder queen 15 times and nothing happens. It is soooooo random.
