Anyone got tips for paincritting and capturing?

It always seems like no matter how much I beat on a marine they just keep getting up then all of the sudden they die. Whats the secret to doing enough to paincrit but not kill them?

Honestly I prefer just keeping a few drones close or accompanying me to make sure there's facehuggers to stun marines for easy capture. Then I just tell the sentinels back in the hive that this guy is still quite healthy and they should be guarded well.

slash till the 2 feet are broken. Works 99% of the time if the host is fresh when captured. If they're already injured, try to catch a radio chat to see whether they're stammering or not. If not, break a foot.

Slap them to nest ASAP. As a marine at full health I was never able to deny larvae by normal grenade exploding in my hand if they glued me back fairly fast. Hell, I even was able to resist after a minute, or two and break out easly, becouse xenos suppose that I'm too fucked up to stand up. Nest not only stabilises, but heals too.

Break their poor defenceless skull if they fight back too much, maybe acid spit them a few times if you have the means, or grab spam them if you are a warrior and really want to ruin their fun.

Also don't forget, if you slap a marine a lot... it takes a moment for them to fall into pain crit. They have a few more moments before they actually collapse. So don't hit them too much when you think they're already injured enough. Keep tackling, wait for them to stop getting up.

Yeah, but that shit is hard to get and my notorious triple "F" that stands for "Friendly Fire Fame" keeps sane CT's and RO's from giving me those.

Burns are very effective in my experience. Hurts like hell but no bleeding out or organ damage like slashing causes.

Marines heal burn slowly on their own without any chem, and organ damage isn't a thing to worry about if you slash hands/feet

3 acid spits from spitter, though this can be adjusted for wounded marines.
