The War for Nonpo-- Story of K/2/7

So Im back at it again with writing war stories. This time it's not dealing with Xenomorphs or any of that kind of crap, it's going to be about a Marine platoon's experiences on a planet being ravaged by a civil war, and what they will go through. If you want your character to be included, put their dossier below and type in some extra stuff shown below. If you have no dossier just describe your character.

Now, I'm going to say what I'd like if you're going to put your character in: Please, be descriptive as possible. The more I know about your character the more I can do with them. For example talk about their families & their past life, their personal quirks and tendencies, experience in the Marine Corp, so on so forth. Fleshen out your character so I can feature them more. I'll be posting my own app as my character will be featured, so if you need ideas you can go off that.

And with that once I've compiled a good amount of names I'll set to work on the 1st chapter. Each chapter will be published when they're ready. I'm also going to need some proof-readers for each portion of the story written, so if you want to be one PM me.

Another thing I'd like, and this may be an odd request but if there are any weebs who know a bit about Japanese culture, history, or the language, PM me as-well, because Im going to need to know a bit about this.

My character's name is Murdoch 'Mack' Machowicz. Here's my dossier: viewtopic.php?f=91&t=10763
I'd like my character to just be a standard marine role.

Some extra side notes for added use of my character: He's a hard-ass to strangers and doesn't take shit from anyone, and won't hesitate to call people out for something they've done wrong. Despite this when someone is an actual tough situation he'll try to help them, or lighten up their load of problems. tl;dr, he's this. To add to that, he shows extreme concern for his fellow squadmates, to the point of seeming like a parent watching over everyone.

He can get extremely gung-ho in the midst of fighting and often yells at the enemy or his squadmates while he's shooting(stuff like GET SOME, EAT LEAD, KILL EM ALL, an assortment of insults & etc). Alternatively he can also laugh hysterically.

His parents are still living in retirement together on the Moon, and Murdoch occasionally goes over to visit them along with his sister. His sister lives on a Martian colony working for Wey-Yu. His youngest daughter Alice lives on Mars and will be a mother soon, while Sarah works as a nurse on a hospital ship in the outer colonies. She is planning on having kids as-well.

Now for some smaller things about my character you can go off of.
-His personal favorite drink is vodka, despite his disdain for anything Slavic related.
-He doesn't prefer to smoke cigarettes, usually he has a pipe on hand to smoke with.
-He has a very keen sense of smell, and is sensitive to a lot of odors.
-He is very good with animals and loves pets. He'd own some himself but his military career prevents this...

A lot of this info applies to him as a standard. He tends to be more proud and courageous in leadership positions, but no matter what the role, his desire to risk his life to be a hero and finally not be a loser in life remains the same no matter his position in the story.

Personality wise,
Is a dick to hide the fact she cares for her squad mates
Wears sunglasses to protect her eyes from the excessively bright Almayer lights
Executes perfect combat rolls as often as possible
Attempts to prevent heroics from fellow squad mates
Takes a shotgun and a pulse rifle, buckshot and AP only. Heavy emphasis on the shotgun.
Sometimes yells "Git SUM!" "Freedom!" "Democracy!" "Liberty" and the such in combat
Carries a lighter and a pack of smokes mostly for her comrades

I heard the word 'special snowflake' being thrown around and I came running. I'm still working on the dossier so it'll be a while before I can do that.

Ed Trevor's notable traits are,

- He tends to put the mission before anything else.
- He cares for his squadmates but doesn't let that get in the way of the mission.
- Tends to be more serious at times than others.
- Definitely obedient and follows orders, even if they spell his death.
- Actually very quiet amidst battle.
- Willing to take an injury if it achieves his desired result.
- He doesn't smoke nor does he drink.


Trevor actually dislikes killing people for any reason, hence the reason he tries to save them, even if they're an enemy. This doesn't stop him from coming fully loaded with weaponry such as the M41A MK2 or the M37A2, but he aims to maim instead of to kill.

August Walker as command or ship staff, August 'Slice' Walker as a marine.

I like pulse rifle AP rounds, using a pulse rifle and keeping a machete on my belt. I also usually have a good sense of self preservation, so I'm not one to fight to the death.

Alright, Garth Pawolski,

He's a jaded 34 year old man with a penchant for construction and destruction, personality-wise he'll swap between the silent type and the determinator, his personal belief is that if a jobs worth doing, it's worth getting it right the first time, despite all this he can still take a joke.

His parents died while he was in his teenage years, the colony he lived at became the target of slavers and by the time a USCM force was deployed to the colony it had already been burned to the ground, his only remaining family member was his 8 yead old sister, whom was visiting a different colony at the time, they haven't seen or spoken to each other since.

His reason for enlisting is fairly obvious given past events.

- Enjoys a good smoke
- Very professional, doesn't joke around much
- Always wanted to retire from the USCM and become a famous chef

Heyo, Lochlann Healy here just make me a basic marine, spec (b18 or Sadar) or Smartgunner.

He's a 27 year old guy from the Emerald Isle, aka Ireland. Not a very quiet person but won't go out of his way to talk to people he hasn't met before, if he thinks his word is needed he'll make sure his word is put in. Sometimes will take fairly simple battle situations seriously even when it's not high-risk such as a building sweep in an area reported to be clear earlier. Brutally honest person, if he thinks the situation is 100% not in his/his team's favor he'll say so but don't get me wrong he's not a moaner/downer he'll still try to keep people's spirits up. He's totally fine with being lazy if the opportunity arises and he's not actually needed. He's not one to leave his comrades behind but he's not stupid, if they were deep in enemy controlled territory bleeding out he'd understand there's not much he can do to help. He likes to be the last one out of a situation but normally he'll leave that to the SSGTs if they want to. He respects the chain of command and marine law but he's up for having a bit of banter and bashing his superiors, within reason such as him insulting his SL and not the CO to their faces.

Not much too interesting about his life before the USCM. Most of it is in the Dossier but TLDR.
Not a rich family. Farmer's son. Oldest of 5 kids. Got in trouble a lot. Father was abusive. Turned his school life around and finished school well. Engineering degree. Helped out his family. Brother dies, Mother depressed, Mother dies. Father angrier. Lochlann moves to America. Ends up joining the USCM mainly because of how he always considered the army but Ireland's army was piss poor and it was hard to find a job in the US and the army seemed like the best choice.

Lastly some likes and dislikes.

Likes: Smoking Cigarettes, drinking (off-duty), slight gambling nothing high stakes, dogs. Reliability. Honesty. Respect. Professionalism (if the situation calls for it). Good Communication.
Dislikes : Drugs. New Marines/Crew. Cats. Weyland Yutani. Abusers. Scouting duty.
