New Predator Ship

So for any of you who didn't catch the announcement on the discord, a redesign of the current predator ship will probably be released either today or tomorrow sometime.

Just to clarify, this isn't a more lore accurate ship, but its more functional and filled than the current design. It is also a bit larger.

So, get hype! Also, start the wild speculation.

While I can only dream, I am at the very least hoping that we'll have more medical supplies to work with, along with a stockpile of building supplies so creating lodges is easier.

And maybe even a reworked trophy room would be nice. Then we can well-up with pride as we take an empty trophy room and fill it with our own trophies, instead of it already being pre-filled with stuff we never hunted.

Maybe it's too late to mention, but having the trophy room filled with SOME trophies we can award honorable humans would be great. Giving a flintlock pistol or maybe even an actual katana to a player would have a lot more RP value.

Mhmm! I do! If one Pred takes it then that's that. A few ritual knives would be nice - or other nifty trophy weapons that could enrich the round of others that are worthy!

I took a bunch of pictures of the ship and put them together lazily, It'll give you a good idea of the sexy ship we've got now.

I love that we finally have a proper medical bay. All I asked for was some extra medical supplies, but the staff went even further. I like that we now have our own operating room as well... Maybe we might be able to start replacing hacked off limbs now?

The empty trophy room is also a nice addition. Now we can measure our progress during a hunt!

Even the more minor things like the dining hall and meeting room are nice touches for roleplay. I can't wait to try this ship out.

More useless consoles in the navigation room
Ship-side cannons that don't do anything
Red tint on all the things
A primary weapon armoury (for rewards/replacements).
More stun prods and cuffs

So, what parts of the ship are more lore accurate? I don't know in depth pres lore soooo.

We honestly have very little to work with in terms of 'lore accurate' Predator ship interior design.

Predator 2 shows us the only interior view of a Predator ship that is considered lore friendly for Colonial Marines. We see this interior near the end of the film, it predominantly shows the entrance to the ship, a single one, which leads down a winding corridor to larger central room, either a meeting room, dueling chamber or a trophy room since in this same wall there is a wall mount showing an array of skulls.

The exact classification of this Predator ship is never explained nor explored, however considering its size it's likely inbetween a scout ship (one man ship) and a larger mothership, considering there is an additional nine or so Predators on board the ship.

We can only speculate thus on how the interior would go if we adhere to the lore accurate Predator 2 film.

Aliens vs Predator and Aliens vs Predator Requiem have wildly different views on Predator space craft interior design. The interiors seem far more like something a futuristic Human, or generic sci-fi alien, ship would look like. In addition these two moves are considered non-canon to Colonial Marines, and to pretty much the rest of the Aliens and/or Predator universes.

I will say the one, and only, good thing to come out of AvP Requiem was that it showed us a (proposed imo) view of the Predator homeworld (for the first time I think), and its pretty decent if only to see the kind of architecture the Predators use on planets they live on. Not very relevant to ship interior but the planet design seems more akin to Predator 2 than any other Predator ship in both movies.

Alien vs Predator 1999 (Now Classic 2000), a FPS game, did show us the interior of a smaller scout ship, likely one pilot (if any) and a small hunter party of three or so. This design does adhere to the Predator 2 design.

In conclusion, the lore design of the ship is as you see sit as we have no real basis on how a larger Predator ship is designed.

In terms of smaller craft, scout or frigates, I'd say the most lore "friendly" design would be for it to have as minimal rooms as necessary.

Form follows Function strikes me as the motto of Predator ship design.

We could use more of that red floor tile, and more red/yellow in general like the predator 2 style
