Commander Council Voting

Only players with a Commander whitelist may vote here.
If you do not have a CO whitelist and openly vote while failing to inform me, you will lose all whitelists. If you accidentally voted or want to remove your votes, read the first line under the voting rules. Voting will lock 5 days from posting this! (Oct 8th)

This is the first official election for the Commander Council. Rules are simple and as follow:

• Only players with CO whitelists should be voting here.
• You have four votes to distribute amongst four CO players.
• You need to distribute all four votes.
• Don't vote for yourself

If you can't follow those rules, your votes will be made invalid.

In the event you didn't mean to vote or want to withdraw all votes: Select only the Accidental/Withdrawn option and submit your vote to that. Only use this if you plan to clear all your votes, do not use it to throw away one of your votes.
You can change your votes as many times as you like and revoting will wipe your old votes, so you don't need to worry about changing votes. Selecting 3, 2, or 1 vote will only apply that many, so make sure to select all 4 options.

Bancrose has been assisting me in setting the CO council up so he's been given a seat for the first term. He will, however, still need to be voted into the council again during future terms. The top four voted players will be given a seat in the Commander Council for a total of five seats. I, Emerald Blood, won't partake in the vote. As a fair warning, head staff do hold the ability to deny anyone permission to join the council, however, we don't plan on denying anyone on this list as we believe anyone voted up should be given a chance at the very least. The CO council will work a lot like it's sister councils so you can read about both of those to get an idea of how it will work. Keep in mind the people you vote up are the people who are gonna be able to make changes on your behalf so pick wisely.

Members running for council are allowed to post here about why you should vote for them and what they want to achieve if they desire. Do not just post, "Vote for me," and keep posts relevant to the topic at hand.

Why should you vote for me?

-I am a firm believer in the giving deserving people a shot. With the old system ive seen regular non command players ruin a good app by a good XO, purely because they dont like them. I believe in making fair and unbiased judgement to expand our ever growing Command Center with more COs.

-I am extremely active and have been round for several years now, holding all three whitelists. I know the responsibility such a position incurs and i am more than willing to take it on in order to better the CO community,

-I dont like the way our tools as Commanders are slowly being stripped away. The tank, increased costs in Req, more restrictive play styles. Im going to make it my top priority to make the CO role the best it can be, and ensure all Commanders can have a fun round commanding the way THEY want to command.

-Im active both in the forums and in game. I mean literally everyone knows who i am. And I feel being known by the community is key to getting the councils word across to potential whitelist applicants and staff.

So to sum up. I believe that Commanders have so much potential. And working together we can achieve so much! If I am voted in as your councilmember, i will be putting you first before myself. We will process good COs and filter out those who do not meet the required bar! A vote for me is a vote for making Commanders so much more. And in doing so making the game so much more for everyone else on the server. That is what i wish to do. Will you help me do it?

Hi, I'm LittleBlast/Kennard '(Insert Terrible Nickname Here)' Davis. I'm running for CO Council if that needs to be actually stated since I'm posting this here.

Why should you vote for me?
-My main role is Commander, and I have a lot of experience in CIC.
-I want to make CO an actual RP Role and not just XO With a liscence to kill
-I am very active ingame, and am a regular on these forums.
-I believe that I have a variety of Ideas that can help improve the Commander role and Command in general.
-I want to make sure that the CO Role doesn't become, as soldier said, a popularity contest. Personally, I feel that CO is a bit to easy to get at the moment, and that the RP Standards for it should be higher. It should be more than "Are you known and did you not piss me off by going LZ2 Ice last round I played with you in charge".
-I want to remove the "If the CO Isn't on all 4 comms at once and leading the OP to success every single minute I'm going to report him" or the "CO Isn't a Roleplay role, go lead the op you fucking moron, reported" and the "Why did CO Leave the OP In the hands of the XO I'm going to throw the OP then scream in looc get reported" behavior that has honestly become so prevalent in the community these days. I want to make it clear what the job of the CO is, to both the CO and to the rest of the Community.

What do I want the council to do?
-More impartiality in the CO Whitelist, along with improvements in Whitelist standards, with a rework of the overall application.
-I want to give ideas to the Devs on, from a commanders perspective, what needs to be improved in order to make Commander a satisfying role.
-Give more CO options in terms of both Aesthetics and Gameplay. CO Should not always have to be an over glorified Smartgunner when it comes to combat, they should have options on their weapon selection.

I know that I am not one of the most well known faces in the Community, but I care for the community and want to play my part in improving it. Commander Is my favorite role, and I believe that I can help in making a difference in improving the CO Experience.

Another thing, I think that I can be very clear and to the point in what I am trying to say, and am open to considering others opinions. This is important in discussion so it isn't just one guy screaming with his ears plugged thinking that they are making a difference.

I'm Bob Shoe many of you know me. I've made some mistakes and I know that I've made peace with those.

Now currently I don't play CDR as much as the next guy but I'm one of the few that are remembered from the old day's if you call old 2017 the old day's.

Though, if you look I'm one of the people that vote on CDR apps, hell I was denied on a CDR app. My second CDR app came up and I had a 95% acceptance rate, maybe because of my OORAH way's or maybe because people just saw me.

Many people can vouch for me, any time I play CDR even after a long time we win. No joke, even if I join after a hour into a round we win.

I've also played multiple roles as Admiral for Ex-Admins. You can see a video on tophats channel. From this it may not mean I'm qualified for the role, but overall I believe I'm a brother ready to help out the CDR community.

Why vote for me?

• I've played Colonial Marines for a long while now, and i know how pretty much everything works (I've been here since the Nostromo days).
• While that, i've mostly played as Command, and i do consider myself a Command main ( I play Sergio Stone ).
• I am pretty sure all of my notes are squeaky clean, and no one has ever made a complaint about me.
• I also am an Administrator of FTL13 and a Designer of SCP13 ( Meaning at least someone trusts me with some responsibilites ).

What do i wish to do as a council member?

• Make CO applications less of a popularity contest.
• Assist in reworks and with ideas, suggested by the community or not.
• Lean COs towards a more HRP standard, wich really seems to have dropped lately.
• The creation of guidelines, like the Synths and Preds have, with the assistance of the fellow council members, of course.

Seems we’re all doing it again, so here we go.

If you see it fit, put a vote for me. I stated what I plan to do first if I get a seat on Soldiers post, but there’s a lot I think could be done that would benefit us all, and I intend to work with the rest of the council to make sure that it gets done, and our voices are heard. That, and I already +/- most, if not all apps that pop up, so I can assure you that applicants will be handled almost immediately.

Regardless, good luck everyone that is running. Vote for who you think will do the seat of CO Council justice, but just know if I do end up being on the council, i’ll do everything that I can to make sure the role of CO is more enjoyable for us, as well as those who have to deal with us as their leadership as I care to make this role more enjoyable, and less of a joke then many perceive it to be.

I go by Pierce Jackson in game, as most of you probably have seen me prior. I play almost exclusively Commander, so I know the ups and downs to the roll.


A few things I want to help change for the better

• I would like to help change the guidelines with other Council members

• I would like to assist in reworking certain rules such as Battlefield executions.

• I would like to help in making the whitelist less of how known you are, and more so if you are skilled for the role

hi, i'm peter bates. lately, i've been hearing a lot of talk about commander council. and you know, i've been thinking, why have these candidates that clearly just want your vote to become admiral with?

that's why i'm running for council. with your vote, you can secure the future of a council status quo. yes, that's right. as long as you just vote for me for *free* you can secure the status quo as our ancestors did.

if you also want to secure yourself as a mostly inactive, random name commander, i'm the guy for you. just believe in yourself is my motto. i don't use obnoxious campaign advertisements like gabo or moore, i'm just an american guy.

I’m going to keep it simple and stupid.

I’m very active and will make sure that whitelist applications are reviewed and processed quickly

Summary.

-Can guarantee I will simmer down a lot on popularity on apps, will focus more on answers. I believe we're all tired of the popularity contest.

-Will push for CO to be something more than an XO with a right to BE.

-Been with CM for close to two years, heavily experienced and know like every single feature/mechanic.

Overall just extremely qualified.

I also consider myself a nice person and promise I won't be some mean cunt.
