Marco 'Chernobyl' Wallick CO Application

Post by PreacherCini » 20 Apr 2017, 17:22

Byond ID: PreacherCini

Player name you use the most: Marco 'Chernobyl/Nando' Wallick

Make a list of links to all of your applications and (job)ban appeals, including whitelist and staff apps, within the last year. Also, provide "Ban reason; Verdict" beside each (job)ban link: viewtopic.php?f=68&t=12106&p=129273#p129273 Application for moderator, denied due to lack of understanding and my account age.

Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines? Yes.

Why should you be whitelisted?
I think I should be whitelisted because I mainly play command roles and enjoy playing them. While some people just play to win I like to make sure anyone under my command has a good time. While I have only played XO twice, I have experience in every department so I would know how to keep things running smoothly. I have mainly played SL and CE/MT recently. While roleplay is important to a fun match, I am not as focused on it as someone like Bill Carson would be. This doesn't mean I will not think about it as I enjoy hearing the survivors stories and giving the CL some fun things to do. I think giving good orders is just as important. One of the things that are different with me than other commanders is that I try to never evac unless there is absolutely no chance of being able to hold it. I believe that I can learn quickly about how to be a great CO and would love to take criticism on any way to make myself better. [Edit] While I have little posts on here, I have been lurking these past two weeks and have learned a lot about the culture here.

Neutral +1 leaning,

Good solid app, you've explained your command style and have experience with every department, obviously your only negative is the little experience you have as XO. I've only seen you maybe one or twice, so before I give a +1 I want to see how you would deal with this scenario.

You've ordered Delta to FOB duty, Charlie to restore power, and Alpha and Bravo to scout out the colony. The first 45 minutes have gone by fairly uneventfully, until one of your BOs informs you that Alpha has begun to disobey orders, and have started to construct a separate FOB at Robotics with the main reason begin that they want to secure LZ2 incase they need to evacuate from the planet, you've talked in the squad chat and this has been confirmed by 2 PFCs who broke away from the squad. What actions would you take to resolve the issue?

This is an interesting question, I'd probably first request they return to their orders and reason with them that the FOB at robotics would be ineffective because of the size of the dome. If it ended their and they returned to their duties, I wouldn't escalate it further. If they continued to refuse orders, If the SL was still following orders, I'd tell the BO to message the SL using the console and tell him to reason with his men. My LAST resort would be to send down an MP to deal with the men refusing orders. This would be the last resort since the risk to the MPs is very high.

+1

I'm happy with this response, you've kept disruption to the other squads at a minimum and allowed them to stand down multiple times before using force, that is what I was looking out for in your response and you ticked both boxes.

I wish you the best of luck with your application and hope to see you as a commander soon.
