Do you understand how the Battlefield Execution functions?
Yes. Battlefield executions are a last resort used only when someone jeopardizes the mission during a critical situation, and if standard procedure of law cannot be used.
Do you understand you are not above Marine law, or allowed to enforce it yourself?
Yes. Enforcement of Marine law is the duty of the MPs and CMPs, and if I transgress Marine law, I am fully aware that I can and will be punished for it, regardless of my reasons for breaking Marine law in the first place.
What do you think is the job of a Commander?
The job of the Commander is to ensure that the round progresses from the marine side in a logical and consistent manner by issuing orders and delegating tasks to his command staff and ship crew. He does this by means of the command console, red alert card swiper things, and if need be, by battlefield execution. As a whitelisted role, the Commander is held to a higher standard of roleplay and game knowledge and their actions ingame should reflect as such.
If a member of your staff is disobeying orders, how would you handle it?
Depending on the severity and context of the orders, several ways, following proper escalation of punishment. For example, if an SO is refusing to stay at his overwatch console, I would warn him first, if the activity continues, see to get him brigged for neglect of duty and if necessary, insubordination. If said neglect of duty continues, I would see that they'd be removed from their position or brigged further under the same charges as before with a lengthier sentence.
Generally, I would start with a warning, moving up to call the MPs in the case of Marine law breaks (if necessary), and escalating it further if disobedient behavior continues. If the situation resolves itself at the first warning, I would make a mental note of it incase it comes back later in the round, but I'd let them continue with their business provided that they are following orders.
Why should you be whitelisted?
I have played Colonial Marines on the Marine side, especially Command staff (PO/SO/XO/RO), for long enough that I know the ins and outs of what is considered to be typical gameplay, and I play consistently enough that I stay in the know of new changes so that I know what to expect on a round-to-round basis. I understand the roles of different Marines and shipside staff and the potential difficulties associated with them, and I can act fairly in my judgement by knowing how these roles play. I have expertise with playing XO, leading the operation, and have been through multiple strange events (AREs BE, rogue synths, etc.) while in command of the Almayer, and I want to take that expertise to the next level in order to provide enjoyable rounds for everyone.
