Why should you be whitelisted?
I've been playing in a command capacity as SO and XO for a fair amount of time recently, and generally I've been told it's gone rather well. I'd like to think I've been a good roleplayer and addition to the command crew, and want to take it a step further as commander. I find the command aspect fascinating, especially for my play style, because I'm not particularly robust at all. I can bring good roleplay to the table with this whitelist as well, as I try to in all of my command roles. I leave reasonable amounts of leeway to those I command, and work with everyone to make sure they can be on board with a plan of action, something that can be rare in commanding staff. I feel like I wouldn't be a commonly mutinied commander because of all of that, but that's yet to be tested, isn't it?

As Commander, I will roleplay, to the best of my ability, in a way that makes everyone's experience better. I won't be that commander that squashes a squad leader's authority, or takes the most arcane interpretations of procedures and regulations. I will also try to not be a distant figure, staying active on the radio and among my fellow officers. I want to work with marines, not over. Of course, when command authority needs to be asserted, it will happen, but those will be in instances where it's absolutely necessary, and will always have a just cause.

edit: someone requested a briefing, since we're still in the edit time, gonna put it here so it's more visible:

Marines, today we are deployed to planet LV-624, and moving down to a Wey-Yu colony Lazarus Landing. The colony sent a distress signal some time ago, and we're their response. We are deploying in night-time conditions, on landing zones on the east and west sides of the colony.

Our primary focus will be the Nexus, near LZ1, where we will stage the rest of our operation. Alpha, you will be securing that building, have Bravo and Charlie engineers join you. Reinforce it, establish a secure perimeter around LZ1 and then around the building itself. LZ2 may or may not be used, the upside of that being that you will have CAS support.

Bravo, Charlie, Delta. You will be forward scouts. I want to focus on two key areas in particular. There is a set of four buildings to the northwest of the Nexus, containing a medbay, hydroponics, and research center. Secure that area, look for signs of survivors and what may have happened here. Delta, your engineer will go with you to engineering, southwest of the Nexus. Secure and maintain the colony's power, as well as gathering more intel on what we're dealing with. I expect regular reports from all squads.

There are many things we could expect down there. Pirates, hostile wildlife, or a CF uprising. Whatever it is, you need to be ready. Stand strong, marines. Hoo-ah!
