Samual 'Mafioso' Caleno - CO Application

Post by Jason Smith » 06 Jul 2018, 05:32

Byond ID:Michaelmikey

Player name you use the most: Samual 'Mafioso' Caleno

Make a list of links to all of your applications and (job)ban appeals, including whitelist and staff apps, within the last year. Also, provide "Ban reason; Verdict" beside each (job)ban link: viewtopic.php?f=141&t=17600, I also applied for a mentor before I went on break.

Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines?

I understand that being a whitelisted member of the community I must follow role-play guidelines and rules set-fourth by the staff of this community and that I am seen as a higher and more experienced roleplayer and that my roleplay may rub off on others who may follow in my path of roleplay. I understand that being a leader is leading by example and showing others the proper way of roleplaying and teaching new players how to have an enjoyable roleplay and how to create their unique characters so that they can customize the feel and experience for their roleplay and for the people they are roleplaying with.

Do you understand how the Battlefield Execution functions?

I understand that a battlefield execution is used as a tool to stop mutineers and keep my men in-line and should be used only when absolutely necessary. This is to ensure that the authority of the staff who falls under the commander is followed via the chain of command and that the commander can only execute a battlefield execution with a strong reason behind it to help keep threats to the ship and the operation under control. I understand that abuse of this power whilst acting as a commander will have my whitelist revoked and thus breaks roleplay guidelines and server rules and ruining roleplay for others.

I also understand that all acting military police officers may bring forth any wrongful battlefield executions to high command and have me removed from my position and the commander and thus make me not above the law.

Do you understand you are not above Marine law or allowed to enforce it yourself?

I understand that as a commander I am apart of the marine corp and as everyone in the marine corp we must abide by the marine laws set-forth to all marines and that even though I may be in command that being a commander does not make me above the law but rather gives me more authority and command in an operation and is just my set position or job and with all jobs have their standard operating procedures.

I also understand that enforcing the marine law is up to those assigned to enforce it and I should NEVER get involved in enforcing criminals due to the importance of my role and the loss of my life could result in a total wipe of command and that I should leave the roles to my subordinates and only guide those who have volunteered to enforce marines law.

I understand that as commander it is my job to set-forth a leadership example like no-other and that breaking the marine law and setting an example of a hooligan could result in me being removed as a whitelisted commander and thus I must set my best foot forward and make myself as a commander be known that even I will follow marine law and be a model citizen upon the polymer.

What do you think is the job of a Commander?

The job of the commander is to ensure the smooth running of an operation and to command and operate operations set-forth by high-command. To pass orders, make strategic tactical decisions in split second, and to ensure the safety and integrity of the operation but also my marines. I understand that I have to ensure the best possible route for my men to take and ensure the elimination of the enemy's high values locations and lead my men to a victory. I understand that as a commander I have one of the most stressful jobs and must stay calm, cool, and collected at all times to ensure the moral of my soldier's. I know the job of a commander, it is my duty to communicate with my other officers and use all my tools to my power and advantage to ensure that everyone knows where to be and what to do.

As a commander, it is my job to run all operations even though I am not physically doing the jobs but delegating orders to those I see fit to do the job.

If a member of your staff is disobeying orders, how would you handle it?

I would pull the staff member aside and speak to them, ask them as to why they are not following orders and to find out what route they feel should be taken. I have learned from experience that sometimes the person who knows the best route to their job is the person doing the job and not the person issuing the orders. If a valid response was not given I would issue them a warning to follow my instructions and try to explain to the staff member as to why my approach would be the best way forward. If all else fails I would call the MP's to handle the situation and have them charge the staff member for insubordination. I feel like giving the member a chance and not just charging them the right way is the best possible direction to take since they may be more experienced in their field of work then I. As a commander I understand that I am not the most experienced in all fields and I should be taking others recommendations seriously.

Why should you be whitelisted?

I feel as though I should be whitelisted because I have a lot of experience in being in a leadership experience from my time working in the Canadian Cadet's and as well as researching and learning from other leaders around me. I also feel like my experience with my game would prove that I am very knowledgeable in how many of the game mechanics work and that I can not only teach new people to certain roles and guide new players to a more enjoyable experience for them since SS13 itself and colonial marines have a very large learning curve that only experienced players understand. I also feel I am a very strong role-player. I have been playing SS13 for a few years now and I understand almost all the functions and features in the game.

I understand that my previous application had a poor and very lack of effort and I hope that it will not affect this current application. I don't have an excuse for my last application other than laziness and lack of effort but I do hope we can step aside and look at my further accomplishments and hope that my improvements included in this application help you to realize the new effort and improvements I have included here.

I also will try my best to include as much content as I command for every time I take the position of commander and ensure the spice everything up, make things new and enjoyable for everyone. I will also be as active and supportive as I can. Not being a dick and or douchbag when in my position and ensure that I am not power-hungry and or bossy while commander and to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable time.

I will always take other's recommendations as seriously as I can and to ensure that their point of view is taken into account and used as a tool for advice.

Thank you all for taking your time too read through my application.

Don't you already have a CO Whitelist application open?
viewtopic.php?f=141&t=17600

Pretty sure you have to wait to see if that one gets approved or denied before redoing it and applying again.

-1

If you went for this the first time, it'd address the issues put forth previously in your other app.

However you didn't even wait for that one to be denied and opened up a complete new one.

Good hunting.

Resolved - Denied; you can try again in one month. If you want to post a new app you need to request your old one gets closed and then wait the required time.
Ban Appeal Users: If I've lifted your perma ban and you're still unable to log onto the server, send me a forum PM regarding it and I'll work to get it fixed in ~24 hours.

Emerald Blood: CM's mommy and the only head staff who does anything. Even though I hate you all sometimes, I still love you.
