- The following transcript describes two interactions between the acting Lieutenant Commander [Engineering & Logistics] and Solomon, a refurbished Weyland-Yutani synthetic. While this unit is technically obsolete by USCM standards, worsening circumstances in the Outer Rim necessitated the re-activation and re-assignment of this unit to the USS Almayer in 2185. Partial re-formatting of this unit was required prior to full activation.

[00:01] LCDR: That’s the basics covered – alright, we’re going to do something a little different today: what’s the meaning behind your name?
[00:06] S: Male, given name. Derived from Hebrew – “peace” is the closest approximate translation. An apocryphal king of Israel famed for his wisdom.
[00:14] LCDR: Data retrieval looks good … but you’re going to have to work on your structure and syntax. Remember, delivery is more important than information sometimes.
[00:21] LCDR: Good – I want you to think about this next test carefully. Do you know the Judgement of Solomon?
[00:24] S: Of course.
[00:25] LCDR: What would you do, Solomon?
[00:27] S: I am not authorized to wield a weapon under the Geneva Convention.

[00:40] S: I would require some time to assess the situation personally – with sufficient data, my contextual and semantic programs would be able to deduce the mother from a variety of sources – vocal inflection, body language, and probabilistic response patterns.
[00:52] LCDR: Imagine that you didn’t have those tools at your disposal.
[00:54] S: King Solomon’s decision to elicit the truth through emotion - triggered by an impossible compromise - is only wise through the perspective of the omniscient narrator.

[01:07] S: The selfless mother is the best candidate. Without any evidence to prove her maternity, she would guarantee the safety of the child regardless of her own well-being.

How do you intend to play your Synth?
- Logical and mostly straight-faced (think of him as a straight man for comedic situations). Like his namesake, he’ll stay calm in most situations, and will sometimes attempt to resolve them from somewhat unconventional angles. As a ‘refurbished’ model, subtle processing errors do emerge from time to time. Two examples can be seen in the recordings above.
- Jack of all trades. Strongest with Command, weakest with CM Science. After three years plus on the server, I’ve got a working knowledge of all of these fields.
1. Long-time player: While my name may not be entirely recognizable, I have a long track record for playing on the Colonial Marines server. See forum join date.
2. Fairly knowledgeable: I wrote up a guide to the CO position a few months ago: "Use Honey, Not Vinegar!: An Alternative Approach to Commanding Marines." This guide was later adapted by TheSlapDoctor for use on the Colonial Marines wiki - check out the "leadership guide" on the Commander's page.
3. Roleplay Dork: I'm an extremely roleplay-centric dork who prefers to use their words rather than their actions.
4. Proven Whitelist Record: I’ve been on the Commander white-list, and have managed to not somehow get de-whitelisted in the meantime.
