Suddenly, yet calmly, those eyelids flicked open, revealing beneath a pair of emerald shaded eyes, obviously robotic in nature. A few seconds passed, and soon, they altered, taking on the appearance of what looked to be natural, and normal human eyes. As Jacob's systems fully loaded in at time marker; 11:40, he was ready for his first inaction use. The synthetic lightly rolled his shoulders, while dusting himself off, before reporting to what seemed to be the most logical location at the time, CIC.
Once at the location, he lightly folded his arms behind his back, while standing up straight, a small, yet curious smirk on his face. A few minutes passed, but he was nothing if not patient. Eventually, his waiting was rewarded, as the doors of the Commander's office hissed open, the airlock locking in place as the man himself exited from his chambers. CDR Renold Grey, a temporary CO for the time being, but the CO of this operation none the less. Upon seeing the synthetic before him, Renold let out a light grunt, to which Jacob responded, "Sleep well, commander? We have a busy day ahead of us, and I am eager to assi-" The CDR cut him off with one, simple word, "Coffee." There was no hesitation from Jacob, he gave a light bow, and was on his way.
After a few minutes had passed, leaving the operation time at 11:50, ten minutes prior to the release process of the marine forces from cyro, Jacob returned to the CIC, one warm coffee in one hand, and a small packet of sugar in the other. By now, Renold had seated himself at the helm of CIC, right in the center. He smoked idly at a cigar he had produced while the synthetic was gone. Jacob broke the silence and gathered the commander's attention, "Your coffee, sir. I brought sugar as well, I figured a man of your sweet style, would like a sweeter drink." The synth kept up that smirk, feeling slightly pleased with his own, admittedly crummy joke. The commander swiveled in his chair to face the synthetic before him, "I prefer my coffee black, unsweetened anyways." Jacob's smile did not falter, and instead, he simply pocketed the sugar pack and nodded, "A fair choice, commander." And with that, he headed into the small glass box to place the coffee to the side of the commander.
The time marked 11:55, soon the forces would be up, and it'd be time to handle the situation. It was time for business. Jacob swiftly provided the information he had on the colony below, "Commander, we are currently orbiting the colony, Solaris Ridge, often referred to as Big Red; Surface scans reveal a liveable atmospheric pressure of 101.3 kPa, with Nitrogen making up a 79.5% of the atmosphere, and Oxygen making up a 21.1%. I won't comment on how those add up to over 100%. Anyways, the temperatures read to be a fair 20C, your men should have no problems with the atmosphere below. As for what to expect, reports show that a small force of CLF have been causing trouble in the area, trying to force Weyland-Yutani Representatives and Security forces from the colony, claiming they can defend themselves. I suppose we will be putting their states to the test, no?" Jacob finished his question with a slight tilt of his head. The commander sipped at his coffee for a moment, before setting it down, "You're damn right ya bucket-of-bolts, we'll do this quick and easy. And I suppose I best put you to use, given how insistent high command was that we have you onboard." He grunted against softly, before placing his cigar back in his mouth. Jacob lightly leaned in to face him more personally for a moment, "I noticed that Requisitions consists of just the RO, perhaps asking if he would like assistance from me would be wise, sir. You do know how marines can get without their attachments." The commander waved a hand, "Sure, whatever, just get out of my face for now, please. I need to gather my SOs." Jacob gave a polite bow, before escorting himself out of the CIC.
Requisitions, manned only by one, poor, soon to be stressed, man. Luckily, Jacob was there to assist in any way he could, the fact he didn't get too bothered by stress helped. "Good morning, RO. I am Jacob. The time is 12:00, marines forces will have been released from cyro, and are likely gearing up as we speak, the CO sent me to assist with the RO lines, do you approve?" The Requisitions Officer appeared to be an older man, perhaps a bit past his prime, his ID read 'Daniel Perkins'. As Jacob introduced himself, the RO visibly breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank God, damn pods never thawed out my Cargo Techs, I trust you will prove to be more reliable technology." Jacob smirks, nodding softly, "Don't worry Daniel, unlike the cyro pods, I won't give you the... cold shoulder." The look on the RO's face matched that of an elderly man who had heard the most shameful joke in the entire universe, it was quickly pushed away as the first of the Marines showed up at the second RO window, "Bah, just open the first window. Save BCs for specs, SGs, and SLs." Jacob nodded softly, "As you command, sir." And without hesitation, he reported to the line and opened his window.
The time passed, the line luckily did not see a pushing fight or 'riot' as some marines start screaming, all in all, it was smooth, and swift thanks to having both windows open. After briefing was finished, and the marines deployed, Jacob bowed his head in departure to the RO, since cyro finally released one of the Cargo Techs. Jacob reported back to the CIC, to see just what the command would like for him to do. Upon his arrival, the SO's were already stationed handling their sections, while the CO still sat where he was prior. Renold quickly took notice of the synthetics returned, however, he didn't look too amused, "Some marine managed to find booze from the planet, and, of course, managed to get back up here pukin' his guts out. I like to have a professional look. I was going to have you load the cannon, but our CE already took care of it. So, for you? Mop duty. Down in the hanger, mop up the mix of blood and puke, damn CLF shot up a good number of our boys upon landing. Anyways, get down there." Jacob lightly tilted his head, he could calculate numerous methods that he'd prove to be more useful for than simply mopping, but an order is an order, so he nodded, and headed down towards the hanger.
He was able to collect a mop and cart from maintenance no problem and swiftly found himself pushing the vile works of an organic body from the floor of the hanger. It wasn't all bad, he did live to serve. The time past slowly, but it did pass, the occasional wounded marine being assisted by a medic to medical was about the most interesting events to take place in the hanger. Soon, however, a report that the CLF managed to get a decisive flank on marines forces at LZ2. While they were pushed back, many wounded and even some dead were the results of the battle. DS2, the Normandy, was informed to bring up just as many wounded as they possibly could, and so they did. When the dropship finally docked with the hanger, about two squads worth of wounded piled out. Medics and doctors with roller beds rushed them to medical, but there were so many, not all were able to have the luxury of a bed ride. Jacob glanced over, taking notice of a standard marine, holding her hands close to her chest while she stumbled forward. Jacob calmly stuffed the bloodstained mop into the cart before heading over to her. "May I be of assistance?" He asked, tilting his head once more. His eyes glanced over her, quickly assessing her injuries on the spot, without the need for a medical scanner or body scanner. She coughed lightly, a bit of blood dribbling from her mouth; it hinted at a ruptured lung. As she moved her hands, it was soon apparent that her left hand was gone, the wound was bandaged with a blood-soaked advanced kit. Jacob's eyes opened a bit further, perhaps with concern, "It looks like you need a hand." Another joke, not intended to be insulting, but just part of his programming. He stepped forward, gently lifting her good arm up and over his shoulder, before helping her towards the medical bay.
Medical was an absolute mess, the doctors and medics were pounded with work, stress reached an all-time high as bodies fell limp in the hands of doctors. The push ground side was a success, and the word of more wounded being inbound seemed to overwhelm some of the crew. For Jacob, this was a chance to put his designs to the test. He had no time to waste. The OR rooms were filled, all but one, but the doctors were unavailable, as they were busy stabilizing wounded marines. Jacob spoke calmly into the medical communications, informing the CMO that he was going to use the remaining OR to help assist with the wounded. The CMO replied with a hasty sure, not having time to properly chat. Without the need for a body scanner, Jacob lead the wounded marine in his care to the OR table. He knew that he'd be unable to efficiently use anesthetics due to the ruptured lungs, so, he resorted to other methods. First, by calming her, "Please relax, I will be quick, I assure you." As he spoke, he already set the printer to print off a robotic left arm for use later. He stepped over towards her before picking up one of the anesthetic auto-injectors from the table, it offered a short time to work, but it'd be enough for him. With a small prick of the needle, the marine soon passed out. With lightning reflexes, Jacob tugged on a pair of latex gloves, quickly washing them in the sink before reporting to the table. His hands worked in unison, each time one finished a task with one tool, the next began working with the next tool in the procedure, while the old hand replaced the tool it held with the next step. The stress of a short amount of time to work, and the large work-order didn't seem to bother Jacob in the slightest, and he'd find himself working in this operating room for quite a while...
After the surgery, he sent the marine on her way, lungs and chest fully repaired, and a new hand. He even mentioned to her how it's great for thumb wars! She didn't seem too amused, rather still shaken up about the situation. But this was not the time to joke further, as the OR was quickly filled again, and again, and again. Task after task, he toiled over that table as if it was his only concern of the time being. Eventually, medical had caught up, something most didn't expect, and only with a total of five KIA, unable to be revived. It was over-all a good operation given the situation. With medical now under control, Jacob reported back up to the top of the ship, right to CIC. He stood, once more where we had stood before, at the beginning of the shift, that same smirk on his face, even though his uniform had a few blood stains on it now from the mass of wounded. The commander once more exited his room, gently holding the ever-famous cat in his arms. "Well, I gotta give W-Y credit, heard a lotta good about you, though you did stop doing what I had informed you to do." Jacob's smile faded a bit before he responded, "I was handling what seemed to be the most logical at the time, sir, I can return to the cleaning duties now that medical is stable if you would like." Renold peered over the synthetic for a while, before finally speaking again, "Mmm... Nah, I got a better task for ya, Jonesie here needs someone to look after him while we get the marines back into storage, I trust you can handle that?" Jacob's smirk returned, the amusement in his eyes back again, "Of course, commander, I'll be sure Jones is as content as content can be. Thank you again, for allowing me to assist in this operation." The CO simply nodded, stepping forward and carefully passing Jones over to the synthetic. He then headed out, of the CIC. Jacob simply watched, cradling Jones with one hand, while the other gently scratched behind the cat's ear, that smirk still sticking to his face...

How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)?
Medical will likely be my main role focus, as I like keeping people in the round and I tend to roll medic a lot. I will not shy away from other tasks such as OB loading, FOB construction, Req assisting, and many more, I'm experienced with most all support roles.
I have played every support role at least once, including MP roles (Less often for those), I'm CO whitelisted, so the command structure I know well, and have handled various portions of command tasks. I've played doctor and medic many times, and know medical like the back of my hand. Having been Squad Engineer and plain MT before, I know basically all of engineering, from FOB construction, to hacking and power control.
I've been with the community for quite awhile, while I admit my work and general life activities meant I couldn't stick to a moderator role, I like to think my short time as one helped prove my understanding of rules. The times I do play, I tend to prefer support roles, as I typically have more fun doing those, and have more experience with them.
