Back when I came to CM, it was a server that used SS13 mechanics and rewarded creative play.

Of course, that was about a year ago, and a lot of things have changed since then.


With the removal of all of shipside engineering, atmos, removal of research, nerfing of perdiox,QC, and any non-issued drugs, removal of exosuits in a non-cosmetic role, skill caps so bad that standards can't use labled injectors and the removal of general comms so I can't even talk to the few people I know from before...

I've found that I don't really like playing any role anymore. It's all a chore.

While we get a lot of new updates from the dev team and staff, almost all of them are purposefully focused on reducing player agency and increasing realism.

But that's not what I play SS13 for. I play it to ESCAPE my work, to have fun in an environment where I can bend the rules sometimes. But as that's not a thing anymore, I'm out.

You build some cool as shit, friend used to always send me screenshots of your builds (way before I started playing) and explained to me in great detail why those things were super amazing.

You are indirectly one of the biggest reasons why I started playing SS13 and CM.
