So, ive been feeling burned out on the game for a long time, but ive still managed to effectively manage my positions as
discord mod and server mod for quite a while, but i feel i cannot continue.
Throughout my time on staff, ive had my ups and downs, creating many memories that ill enjoy for a long time to come.

However, the bad in this case i feel outweighs the good, and as such i feel i am left with little choice, but to retire.

There have consistently been glaring communication issues with staff, Often having to wait days
for a rule to be clarified, often only to be told that whilst an issue was against the rules, it would be too difficult to
enforce and should be simply let slide. I have heard from various staff members, and i share the same view, that on
many occasions, marine law is rather complicated, from a staff perspective, seen by some as a form of "legal griefing",
Although of note, recently dev team communication with other departments has improved greatly, due to additional measures.

I attempted to make various changes to discord, such as creating new roles, specifically for those who wanted to play
games other than CM, so they could be pinged, instead of pinging the whole discord, or giving mentors access to the discord
moderation channels, so they could assist in keeping track of people who they had kicked, or creating special permmissions
for trialmods/ trialmins, so they could keep up with the staff on discord. These suggestions were mostly ignored, or met
with confusion.

One Incident which vividly sticks with me was an incident between a head and myself.
The round previously, i had been goofing around, after being brigged, where said head was an MP. This lead to a fun round
for all those who were involved, bar one specific person, who is mentioned in this next part. The next round,
i was playing as a normal doctor, and was playing properly, as a normal player does. About an hour or so into the round,
an ahelp comes through, stating that i was continuing lowRP actions, from the previous round, despite this not being the
case. The head decided to tell me off, Despite me stating that it wasnt correct. i later found out that the player was
in voicechat with the head, and that the head had actively encouraged them to ahelp. Apparently this was supposed to be
a joke, but i had failed to see the funny side, and the head couldnt understand why i was ticked off by this, this was the start of the end for me.

In addition to this, i disagree with the way some recent events have been handled, specifically the way that the community has been dealt with, and honestly this was the proverbial "straw which broke the camels back".

As previously mentioned, it hasnt all been bad, ive had some of the funniest moments here, from ahelps, and i remember participating in various events, which didnt go in the direction the staff member running the event had planned, such as the tree event, or more recently, getting to be the first one to test out the mortars effects on marines. In addition to this, you get a very good feeling from tracking down multi-keying players, logdiving, attack logs and more to help the community become greater, after spending a good few hours gathering data.

I genuinely wish it hadnt reached this point, and as such i am aware that this post will probably be seen as salty.
I wish everybody the best, and i leave this team before things get any worse. I enjoyed staffing with everybody, and interacting with players in ways i didnt expect.

Known you a bit over a year... and I'll say your retirement is a loss for the community. You'll be missed. Hopefully a break from the Staff will help restore your fire. o7

Hopefully you can back from this in time, and we can work together on fixing some of the problems you're seeing. I'll miss ya, bud.
