Sulaco. A name so simple, yet so familiar - all the countless hours spent in the medbay as a doctor and a medic. All the countless hours spent in the field, either shooting the xeno scumbags, or treating the one standing in the way of the bullets. All the memories, old names and faces that begin to fade into the dark.
Getting to know the people around. Ckeys, names, personalities. Their ideas, mindset, attitude towards the world. Their piece of mind, their experience - all mixing in one community, creating a huge pool of unknown. Yet, the unknown was itching to be discovered by the curious. And thus, the community built bigger and bigger.
I'd be lying if I said I've been here forever - merely joined around the start of the Sulaco era, and loyally stayed to this day. The people that got me into the game, the people that I enjoyed spending my time with have retired and left ages ago, just to make place for the new ones. Is that bad? No, not at all - fresh faces are a very welcome addition to the community we have here.
However, something isn't working for me. Perhaps it's just the old image lingering in my mind, maybe I just need a small break. And I shall - as my real life issues hit with the force of a god damn nuke.
So I'll be taking a break for around two months. I forced the things back on the right track, but now I need to kickstart it forward and keep it there - can't really distract myself with CM and all of it's drama while doing so.
I'm planning to come back in two months, if everything goes well. See you for now, that is not a goodbye.
