Oh yeah, the stun resistence stuff.

As I remember that, it's not a good idea to have any ayy immune to stuns, since we got that and didn't end well.

You can't make something immune or partially immune to one type of explosive preety sure, so if i shot a SADAR at queen, with this nerf, it would just stun her as long a grenade, could be wrong.

Explosive stuns are handled in a wide basis right now.

Which means nerfing grenade spam nerfs every other explosive.

Source: OB's suck ass right now unless you hit xenos directly since the stun doesn't last long.

grenade "spam" is not imbalanced.

it is a team working together to use their weapons to land concentrated, accurate explosives on an enemy and stun it long enough to kill it with followup gunfire.

if they fail at any point in this it is a complete waste, a delaying tactic at best.

if they miss or mistime their grenade shots and the enemy gets away it is a complete waste of their limited grenades because the enemy can just chill out on some weeds for a minute to heal.

if they fail to finish the enemy with followup gunfire and it gets away or is dragged away it is a complete waste of their limited grenades and limited ammunition because the enemy can just chill out on some weeds for a minute to heal.

at worst they risk dropping explosives onto themselves or their allies because of the clunky and complex controls of the game and how crowded things can often get, at which point they will be crippled or dead, because they do not have the luxury of chilling out on some weeds for a minute to heal

you are too concentrated on the singular event of some marines managing to kill an alien(shock! horror! how can such a thing be allowed to happen?), and ignoring the context of the logistics and resources of the larger battle

Queen and T3's had stun resistance recently. They were unstoppable. T3's rarely died and commonly lived to be elite, not to mention the bloody Queen. Once the Queen becomes an Empress, she already has a pretty damn big healthpool. Hell, even at Elite Queen the healthpool is impressive.

And yes, warding pheremones. They have caused me showers of salt as well. Such as when a Queen survives 3 nades and a bunch of shooting.

Not being at the frontline as Queen/their T3s s also a option.
If the xeno team refuses to cooperate to help their Queen, tough luck. You shouldn't be compensated for that, Marines don't get compensated either.
Just stay away from Marines if you don't want to risk dying, easy. It applies the same to SLs and ground CO/XOs, Queens as of now includimg Ravagers already have partial stun resistance.

Ravagers don't have stun resistance, just lower stun time.
And a robust Queen could become a frontline, just don't get in the way of smartgunners and sentries and you'll be fine.

We could maybe implement stamina damage along side the grenades. Making, you know, an Elite Empress get stunned on the second grenade hit in a span of a few seconds. Or maybe make your stamina relative to max health so say shes at 1/2 health the single grenade would stun. Claymores and SADAR should still stun in one go, but this way one lucky grenade from a marine can't kill a queen because every squad has 50 explosive grenades.

I am dead serious. I fucking ran straight into the little... water purifier or... waste disposal... that little house with pipes going out of it on LV. I instantly ran out with a rav chasing me, took out my shotgun, it launched at me, legit ONE tile away from fucking killing me, I then buckshot its face in and it falls over stunned. Then I quickly fucking kill it before it gets back up. It was amazing and I freaked the fuck out afterwards.

No... just... no. The reason why the Queen Screech is so amazingly powerful is because it has its drawbacks. Out of place Queens can get grenade spammed. Believe it or not, CM has a very balanced gameplay.

i had a thought relevant to this thread, but i feel it should be reserved until xenos clearly need a buff badly

perhaps an alternative use for the tail button could be considered - a chance to swat grenades away from you with it if you have it charged up

-1 Crushers are explosive immune and ravagers already have nigh 100% stun resistance, I don't think queen needs it either especially now that explosives don't do much damage by themselves
