Gun Safety

Post by Mobius_None » 19 Jul 2017, 12:50

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
When the gun's safety is toggled on via an alt+click the ammo counter changes from red to green.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
It will provide as visual indication when a gun is on safe. Primarily a QOL thing.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
It would work by changing green when the click is heard.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Noah Skirata - Squad Engineer, Specialists, and Squad Leader.

+1 The implementation is very simples if you think, would only need to change the rifle sprite from the normal one to a new where the ammo is green then red, is very viable this suggestion and useful.

I like the idea, I wonder if guns still would be need to be holstered along with the safety on. I see no real reason why we can't have safety on guns.

Actually, I would like an option on the equipment menu to enable/disable safetly so that MP's can check it by dragging a marine's sprite to them. You know, in the same way that there is an option to change suit sensors and enable/ remove internals and splints.

We used to have one of these.

However, marines were too retarded to figure out how it worked so we had to remove it.

Er... why didn't you just keep it there...? If people were being retarded, they'd probably just learn eventually.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Tbh I'd probably forget to take it off right before a gunfight and end up not firing a shot at a xeno.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....
