Marine Law Change

Post by taketheshot56 » 19 Jul 2017, 21:16

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Currently its double time for all officers, that should count for MPs as well.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): If you commit a crime as an MP you should have to serve double time or even more, just like an officer would.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): It would hopefully impose longer sentences on MPs when they are arrested for crimes.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Simple wiki edit.

Breaking Marine Law as MP = Jobban. No need to kick the dog any further really.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

I am John "Buckshot" Rhodes, the Tactical Snowflake Hunter

I'd like to +1 this, but I can't.

The arrest times are already stupidly high, I've seen, as CO, an MP be arrested for 30 minutes for having a pistol on code green to "Make an example".

Marine law right now is abysmal and longer jail times isn't the way to fix it.

Jobbans arent the answer, ive seen numerous MPs break laws and get jail time, upon querying with staff, they dont get job banned, clearly job bans arent working. If you break the law as MP you should pay the price with a high jail sentence.
