Given that I was your SO for an entire mission once when you were squad leader. I can say it's a combination of the two. I had only just became aware of your characters existence, and I actually thought your character was French for a while until I started making out German words in your sentences. (Not to mention Fran's Feiffer has a rather Germanic tone to it when I stopped to think about it)
