Sending a squad to flank the caves because you know xenos don't usually protect their flank when they hive in that area
You're kidding me right?

If I have a machinegun emplacement, do I send 20 soliders straight at it or do I send 5 to each flank to surround it?

They are actually very balanced. The difference is ya get marines who think they can rambo a xeno and when they die, they get all salty about it.Mizari 10/12/2018, Xeno mutators

Also

Sending a squad to fortify a location because you know it will give you a strong tactical advantage against xenos enemy force, possibly UPP/CLF

Sending a squad to flank the caves because you know xenos UPPs don't usually place a M56D on their flank

Admins - Marines can't flank because it destroys xenos too much

Also Admins - Xenos can tho because P E R F E C T O R G A N I S M

So basically everyone in command has to be fucking braindead? Nice

The deeper we go, the more we realize how much is wrong with the current system.

Ruling need to be clear.
Like :
"Any offensive officially or unofficially but deliberately aiming for the hive before 1255 is considered as Metarushing and therefore may lead to warn/ban towards any player responsible for such offensive". That is a rule. It's not the REASON or the WHY or the PURPOSE of the rule. It's the DESCRIPTION of the rule.

But that'll just create more problems with the HC-Problem (Huge Cunts Problem, like the name ? I like it though) based on stupid xeno players luring marines to follow them to their hive. Staff would need to warn them/ban them for doing so and it'll escalate in a shitshow because only marines will get fucked.

You won't see any Law Codes in any country going like : "Killing people is bad, because we need the society to keep living, so we need to enforce that killing is bad." No. You will see written "DO NOT KILL PEOPLE." That's it, that is just it, that is a clear rule. That is how it's done. Look at all other rules written, they are clearly written.

I think it has to be vague on purpose since it goes by a case by case basis.

If we say "hey you can't attack hive til 12:55" and then every round it's just attack at 12:56... is that really okay?
I play Xeno 99% of the time. All castes.

Let's just set this context for a bit Reuben.

Xenos before could be metarushed at 1215 with early mega drops.

Marines used to deploy at 1220 max.

Now, they deploy between 1225 and 1235 depending on how shitty Command can be.
Now, most mechanical FOG-like shits prevent rush before 1245.

Yeah giving the xenos almost 50 minutes to prepare and evolve is pretty bullshit.

The issue is that rounds shouldn’t take a full hour to even “start” - the SIMPLEST way to ensure balance is raw values such as health/armor/damage. If Marines are pushing early and fast, speed up evolution timers slightly to compensate.

We all remember the Hell of 3-5 hour rounds.

The biggest problem is that xenos are encouraged to make the rounds drag out as long as possible. This isn't fun.

As a result, if the marine don't completely stomp the xenos in about one hour after landing, they will most likely lose due to mature/elite T3s being able to meme all over them. This led to marines and COs starting to justify rushing the places that xenos always make hives, because getting your ass kicked isn't any fun.

My experience over the last few weeks has been anytime Xenos cry meta rush they don't seem to realize or outright ignore the marines just followed the Xenos back to their hive.

Take LV for example. Marines can scout the whole colony in 20 minutes, then they set up in hydro because the fog won't let them pass. One round Xenos sat on the far side of the fog spamming roar an a crusher stomped up and down the river, definitely letting the marines know they were there.

Fog lifts and skirmish ensues, marines push up to table fort. Both sides take casualties but Xenos quickly realize they can't fight 3 squads with air support and pull back. Marines, having seen no other resistance or hostiles, follow and push. Marines get caught at a choke point in the caves and delta gets hit by a couple flanking runners and lurkers. SO and SL agree that there might be a second entrance and break from the main assault, being led by a few stray Xenos to a side entrance.

The flank lets the main force break in and by about 13:45 queen is dead and the Xenos are cleaned up.

Queue deadchat and salty Xenos whine about how marines just meta rushed caves, while refusing to admit their own lack of tactics and that all their resin structures lead right back to their hive was reason enough for marines to investigate.

Prison as well typically plays out in similar fashion, once locks open Xenos Rush the nearest marine position, marines regroup and counter attack and Xenos can't figure out why the enemy is on their doorstep after doing nothing to try and obfuscate the direction they were going.
