Which is worse?

Post by BuxRagin » 20 Jul 2018, 15:31

Just a simple game I want to play.

Which is worse and more deserving of punishment? A single SSD or a single instance of purposefully QC oding a squadmate, after threatening to do so, for not doing what you say?

QC, cause no one wants to die instantly.

Good hunting.

You made this thread because of your appeal right? SSD job bans usually get lifted quickly if they're reasonable, yours is probably taking time because of all the activity in the thread.

As for the QC overdose. Admins have to handle that differently because it's a RP problem of improper escalation, much more difficult to define and requires an investigation. SSDing breaks rule 11 "If you leave without cryo’ing yourself or informing staff you risk a job ban, especially if your job is an important one."

Mistakes in roleplay or lethal force are more difficult to punish. If you ahelped in that situation then you did the right thing, and the server's nice staff team deals with the problem.

I ahelped. Was told he didn't do it on purpose, so no action was being taken.

Even though he specifically threatened me with ODing me beforehand. It wasn't on purpose. Yep.

According to the staff of this server: if you purposefully QC OD someone that's not a big deal but if you SSD that's a week ban you piece of shit.

As your starting to realize OP, alot of shit around here is backwards.
Max Dallas has been hit in the chest by the M40 HEDP grenade.

I will murder you Brittany Breeze

"It was a fantastic round. If the CO hadn't cryo'ed before the end I'd have bothered him to give at least two more medals. To PFC Max Dallas, who kept doing the path between the frontlines to FOB (the only place with medical aid) with a roller bed, and saved a lot of marines who'd have husked otherwise. And to Dr. Haley Altman, who after all medics were gone was fixing us time and again for hours straight. At the end there were over 10 patients around her either dead or in crit, and she just kept going."

The situation you are talking about was dealt with in-game and as I have said in our discussion there is a difference between what you did and what he did and has its own problems that will be addressed.

Please do not try to post about a problem that I told you about in-game is being dealt with and just complaining on the forums after our discussion.

So now I'm getting clearly Mixed message. I was very specifically told by two other moderators that this was the proper forum to air a grievance like this. Which is it? Am I just not allowed to offer criticism anywhere? Ban appeal isn't the place to offer criticism, this isn't the place to offer criticism, PM isn't the place to offer criticism. It's starting to sound like criticism, not where it is, is the problem.

The simple fact of the matter is that I've been banned for a week for a simple mistake I apologized for immediately after it was explained to me what the mistake was.

Another player deliberately targeted me with a grief because I wasn't doing what he wanted me to do with my gameplay in a round, and he received according to you no punishment at all. Considering a warning means nothing and a permanent ban is a minimum punishment, I would call a warning no punishment at all.

Hey uh, Bux - because I have a personality type that can('t) handle other people's contrition very well and like to throw digs at others for my own personal enjoyment:

Staff Reports, if you feel that the Staff did not adequately punish a player / more than adequately punished you. Everyone makes mistakes but ultimately the Moderation team makes an ruling - right or wrong, staff-reports are the way to handle any lack of proper investigation / punishment (again, decided by staff so their punishment was a warning - most can leave it at that unless it rises to new level of griefing) and ban appeals for improper or unrepentant / ; procedural bans.

You're just salting on the forums in a thread that isn't going to attain much more note than a circle-jerk. If you feel you've been wronged take it through the proper-channels.

If you want to argue in a public-thread with ulterior motives I suggest Reddit. Opinions and feedback are always welcome through the proper channels.

I have no doubt that this will invoke a response on your behalf, I let you have the last reply on the Ban Appeal (If so you want it) because there isn't anything else to say besides re-directs or throwing digs back and forth. But, this ends now.

Have a CM-Day Bud.

This has been locked due to the related appeal being resolved.
Ban Appeal Users: If I've lifted your perma ban and you're still unable to log onto the server, send me a forum PM regarding it and I'll work to get it fixed in ~24 hours.

Emerald Blood: CM's mommy and the only head staff who does anything. Even though I hate you all sometimes, I still love you.
