Can you be teached ICly on how to fire a shotgun, in the most basic way, as a doctor or another non-combat role?

Absolutely, however that does not affect the rules: Do not equip weapons larger than a pistol unless you are in imminent danger of a visible threat.

This one has been bugging me for a while,

Are you allowed to order a rocket crate at roundstart for the SADAR as a specialist without it being considered powergaming?

I personally don't do it but I've seen other people do it and it feels a little off, since it feels the same as engineers taking out metal and plasteel from the engineering storage at round start which was considered powergaming.

I have two questions.

Does the ID you can get from the dead HR NPC allow you to plant and walk by mines? And can survivors use alien mines? I know it's off limits to marines.

To my knowledge yes, that's completely fine. However what is NOT fine is taking an extra crate of rocket ammo down with you. Much in the same what that it is fine to have a second powerpack on the ship for a smartgun but it is not okay to take a second with you at first deployment.

The HR NPC ID... I guess try it and find out?
My best answer is that no, it likely does not, as the IFF system is exclusive to marine forces.

As for the alien mine to my knowledge marines and survivors are allowed to use it freely. It's basically a bear trap.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up.

About sentries, the bullets pass through marines with IDs, right? So how does turning the safety on/off affect its behavior?

Much in the same way as the smartgun. Turning off the safety will allow bullets to hit 'friendly' targets (though I don't think it will target them automatically, you'll have to fire it in manual mode.)

I can't really imagine many reasons to ever turn the safety off. Maybe once in a blue moon when a Death Squad is trying to murder you?

Turning the safety off is in the event of a rogue marine or a gang of survivors are in posession of USCM IDs and can't be neutralized with what you have.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

There are only 2 types of ammo boxes: Rifle ammo and SMG ammo.

There are no smartgun ammo boxes yet, if ever. You just have to ensure cargo has one in storage ready to go.

Is using a known system for killing or damaging xenos power gaming? If something has not been known and I'm the first one to do it, am I still allowed to do it or will it have to go through dev review? (i.e making securitrons)

No it's not. In fact, I have the materials to make one.

Never. I'll be removing those wheeled-helmet beauties and removing all shitlers from this game.

How do you swipe ID card on cigarette vendor to get a lighter\cigs? I ended up by hitting it with my ID card, and that's not what I wanted

Well that's essentially what you do, it should work after that. Don't think CM has swiping code yet cuz it's such a small part.

It's already in, you don't whack vendors any more.
