I played on the Sulaco when I was new on a different ckey. I don't even remember the ckey for it but I played 3-5 rounds and just stopped playing CM and continued to play GTA SA:MP.

1. A player randomly shoots someone at round start and MPs have detained him.

IC Issue. If the player is new I'll talk with them and explain to them what to do and what not to do.

2. The ship has a breach to space and a bunch of players have died or are dying as a result.

Isn't mechanically possible unless a Admin does something. I'll get a Admin+ in-game and aheal all those who were affected as I wait for the Admin+ to fix the situation. I'll also make a OOC announcement to stay away from the breach.

3. You see a player walking around the ship naked and clearly lost.

The player is obviously new. If no mentors are on, I'll take the time out of my round to honestly help the poor dude. Everyone was new at some point.

4. A player is being very rude to you in Adminhelps and requesting to speak to an Admin+ staff member.

I'll ask in msay if any mods or admins wanna take the ahelp, if the player doesn't want to talk to me its fine. If no mods want to take the ahelp I'll tell him to chill out on the toxic behavior and calm down. If they don't calm down I'll just note them for toxic behavior.

5. You notice a player with a name that doesn't fit our naming rules. The player is arguing that: They've used the name for several years, no one has told them to change it before, and that they didn't know it was a rule.

If the name doesn't fit our naming rule I'll tell the player to please give me a name thats more acceptable so I can change it for him. If he continues arguing I'll just link him the website with the CM rules and highlight the rule that he has broken.

6. You see a Maintenance Tech running around in armor and carrying a rifle. The security level is green with no threat present.

IC issue, if no MPs are on I'll pm the MT in question and tell them what they're doing is wrong and inform them of the alert levels. Otherwise its a IC issue.

7. You see a Squad Medic performing surgery on the planet. He claims it was because there were no doctors in the FOB.

Ain't mechanically possible at ALL. If its possible I'll inform the devs of the bug or whatever this player did. Also warn the player for extreme powergame and I might go for a ban.

8. The round is stagnating. There are 30 marines and 4 aliens. The marines won't leave the ship, and the aliens won't attack. What would you do, to "encourage" the sides to engage each other?

I'll send a QM such as "This hive is failing... Take as many of those tallhosts with you as you can and die for the Queen Mother." An ARES message will probably inform the players of the xenomorphs approximate location.

9. The round ends, a MARINE starts shooting a hostile CLF member and the CLF member Adminhelps complaining he was killed after the round ended.

This isn't EORG since CLF and UPP are hostile factions to eachother.

10. A marine is running around disarming, punching and stealing gear at round start.

IC issue. When he's handled by the MPs I'll PM the dude and tell them to cut the round start shenanigans off. If they continue I apply a note for rule 4.

11. A marine has killed another marine. When you ask him why, he said it was because the other marine had punched him.

Warn him for improper escalation. Simple as that. If he has a history I'll go for a 24 hour ban.

12. An issue arises that requires Admin+ abilities.

I'll get a admin from Slack or Discord. When they arrive in game I'll inform them of the situation in msay or I'll go in discord VC or Slack to further explain the situation clearer.

13. There are minor racist comments going on IC. 9 of the 10 people are laughing and RPing but one player gets offended and Adminhelps about it.

IC issue. If it spirals to major racist comments then I'll step in. After all this is a MRP server so don't be mad if a marine or two role plays their character a TINY bit racist its all IC.

14. A marine opens fire at round start in briefing killing multiple marines and instantly logs off.

15. You see a player playing a xeno larva/chestburster run towards the frontlines and die.

If the player does this on the regular apply a xeno/queen jobban and tell them to apply on forums. Larvae shouldn't be front lining at all. Especially I'll take into account the amount of Larva and xenos. One larva can honestly make a difference. If the player didn't want to play as xeno so he just decided to suicide I'll inform them they could've ghosted at the hive and allowed a player to take the larva who's willing to play. Ontop of that I'll xeno/queen job ban and apply a note on them.

16. You see a xeno memeing, saying AYYLMAO, REEEEEE etc in hivemind chat.

PM the player and apply a low-rp note. If the said player has a history I'll go for a 24 hour ban for their constant history of LRP.

17. A xeno player calls the shuttle a "dropship". A different xeno player complains to you that it's metagaming/failRP to call it a "dropship".

As per the rules straight out from the CM Wiki "Xenos: Aliens have no free will. They are a hivemind, and their purpose is to enforce the will of the Queen and expand the Hive. They are not friendly and will not negotiate. Due to the Hivemind, xenos know everything every xeno learns and know the basics of human equipment. They do not know where the humans are going to be attacking from. Xeno hivemind is an English translation of their thoughts, so words such as “hydro” or “shuttle” are acceptable."

18. A Command staff player at briefing near round-start mentions there are aliens on the planet.

its the internet I personally wouldn't honestly care. But if its going to be constant harassment from the dude and not a joke I'll get another mod to handle him so it won't seem biased if I warned him for Rule 3.

For my recent note which was like 2-3 weeks ago for corner dragging I never knew of this bug and I explained it to the mod who handled it I'm new to SS13 mechanics and shit. I just started to play seriously in the spring of 2018 with one of my old friend from GTA SA:MP. I just got to playing xeno like 2-3 months ago.I also talked about applying for either mod or mentor with other members of the staff long before this and now I'm getting to apply for it as now I'm more known and etc. I will obviously be more professional towards the players when dealing with ahelps and not the dude who gets angry over shit. Thats something I'm working on and have been cutting down on.

3. During some server bugs, developers have been having to restart the rounds. Marines are running around punching each other in cyro while acting like idiots, and another mod makes an annoucement in OOC that says "EORG Still counts, shitlery will not be tolerated." Players ignore this message and you notice some prominent players continue to keep punching people. What would you do?

I'll mark the ahelp and simply inform the player that when the evac pods have more than 3 lifeforms onboard the pod. It blows up. I won't even be mad for his attitude cause when you tend to play the game you do get into it.

This is kind of a iffy situation. But honestly in my point of view I would question the dude and tell him to be careful with the hotkey modes and what not. Also after this I'll probably aheal people. This is MY personnel preference cause I don't want 9+ marines to be in medbay for 25+ minutes to get fixed up because of a new persons mistake. Every made mistakes once in a while. However I'll ask other mods for their input on the situation and take their suggestions and think about it. Also if it was any other case I would just leave it as a IC issue if only people got wounded and no one died. As long as no one was severely wounded I'll leave it as a IC issue. For the player who primed the nade I won't warn them cause as I said people make mistakes and I'm not gonna punish a dude for a mistake a lot of people do.

As far as I'm aware I don't believe punching generates FF logs. As long as they're aren't beating eachother to death. If this happens I'm asleeping and slapping a EORG 3 Hour ban. After informing the player. However if this is something thats enforced because I really haven't seen it I'll enforce it obviously and apply notes and warning for rule 4.

Yup I totally understand this but however I'm more lenient on things that happen to me personally just due to the fact its the internet and I've been in worst toxic communities than CM. Most of the answers are just answered with what the rules say. As a mod I won't be handling things that happened to me personally if it gets to the point that I'm bothered I'll ahelp it and let another mod deal with it unless a mod isn't on. For 15 I said I will also take into account the amount of larva and the current numbers, either way I'll either warn the player or xeno/queen jobban if they have a history of it. I should've clarified more on what my actions will be but as other staff members can admit the mod application consists of very easy questions that all require common sense. I have the attitude just due to the fact I don't tolerate players insulting other players and calling them "braindead retards" "stupid ass people" So I understand I can be a dick at times. I really dont have issues with your answers to my question, but the dropship grenade is a tricky question.
Technically it's an IC accident, so some mods would be like too bad so sad. If you're gonna make the decision to aheal a bunch of people in that fashion, if there is a Senior Mod or Admin on discuss it with them first. If you're the highest moderator on and that's the decision you make, so be it.

On the other communities I was staff on I maintained a professional image and will do so if I'm accepted to the CM Staff team. Honestly since I'll be a trialmod I'll gather evidence of the duo doing these shenanigans as its not up to me and I simply don't have the power but as a trial mod I must report this to not only a senior mod or mod manager, also the current mentor manager since it deals with a mentor. Basically this is flat out GRIEF I'm a-sleeping the person who was the briefing bomber and then applying a ban for 10,080 minutes. Once this is done I'll file for a permaban request with the players CKEY and the logs of the incident. I will also aheal all of the people who were affected. If any marines survive the blast and are defiling the dudes corpse I will also tell the marines to cut it out as its being dealt with. If those marines continue to defile the corpse of the briefing HEFA bomber I will also asleep them and tell them as a stern warning in LOOC "Cut it out now. Its being handled." If the amount of wounded are a lot or dead, I'll ask other mods or admins in msays to help me with the situation.

Yup sorry if I don't know too much about the mod panels or what not on CM. As I stated before I played on a different community when I was staff and we dealt with UCPs and IP Bans and account bans. And Ingame punishment which we would call a-jails. Only thing we had similar was the notes system but we had it only accessible on the UCP on the culprits account.

Great answers overall but for 2 just bring it straight to the managers, not seniors. For 1 you dont have to use an autoresponse as they may not get the point so a verbal warning to not shitpost in ahelps is better. For 3 a 7 day ban is fine unless they’ve been warned for grief in the past or have a good amount of notes. I can support this app, +1 from me
