Can you show me more SS13 sprites you've made? Preferably stuff created without the use of a base.

It makes it difficult to differentiate between your work and the work of others when you include edited sprites as examples of your work.

Unfortunately, I lost most of my library when I had to factory reset my laptop. I can whip up some more sprites if you give me a few days. The Nostromo crew suits used the jumpsuit sprite for basic shape and contour, but are otherwise original. The ape race part sheet is original as well as the drink.

The M40 grenade itself is a little better. That being said, it's too small for a throwable grenade, and it's not really something we'll be adding to the game for reasons mentioned before.

If you don't mind me saying, I think you could work on improving your shading, color use, and definition a little more. Item icons should stand out and be noticeable.

Just a tip, when you take pictures of your work, don't take them so it covers the whole screen (The flare box size is good), as right now, it looks like a bunch of pixels all over the screen. You should also do some shading work. The airbrush, burn / dodge and brush tools are all good for it, simply lower the opacity and make few swipes with those tools on the edges. It will look much better that way.

I'm working on a sleeper pod from the movie. Here's where I stop for tonight. I still need to finish the shading on the closed sprite and draw the opened door on the open sprite. Depending on how that works out, I'll sprite the machinery the pod mounts to.

Might look better oriented like the current cryo sleepers since it'll have clearer 'open' versus 'closed' states.

Fun movie fact.

Theres actually only 2 pods there, they used mirrors to make it look like there were more lined up. If you look closely you can tell its all mirrored.

Yep! If you notice, the crossbeam in this picture actually supports a large mirror!

I'm making a full opening/closing gif. When it's opened, it'll be obvious. I highly doubt that these sprites will make it in, but I'm having fun making them and I'm getting a lot of good advice from the devs on how to improve my work.

If that rustles you, then get a load of this. In order to cut production costs, only a handful of the weapon racks have m41s. The rest have M16s, L85s, and a few Lewis machine guns. That's right. The Colonial Marines field WWI weaponry.

As far as spriting goes, I'm thinking of making Drake's vest for smartgunners.
