Which Staff Protocols (http://www.colonial-marines.com/viewtop ... =57&t=5647) were broken: Abuse of power

Description of the incident: While we were on the prison map, command ordered an evacuation to lz2, in the standard fob made in lz1 but the catch here is, i was the only operator of the tank, i had no driver, so, as aliens were assaulting the fob and killing marines, i retreated to tcomms with hopes to assist marines because aliens disabled telecomms, as aliens pushed more and more, the only person alive left on lz1 was me, so, i did my best to take down as many aliens as i could with the tank that was damaged while doing this alone, so, i went to a corner to cover the tank sides with walls and leave only the front exposed to the aliens, i managed to kill a few, but they managed to destroy all modules of the tank but the ltb cannon, as the end was comming, i shot a ravager that got to the front of the tank with a shell, the ravager fell, i switched seats quickly, ran on top of it to be sure he couldn't get up, when the tank got destroyed, i tried to kill myself, but the aliens did the job better than my pistol did. I ghosted, with satisfaction i saw how a lot of ghost were seeing my last stand, but it was short live when someone from the administration just teleported the ravager to a safe place so that he could keep playing, like if only he deserved to play after all the hard work i did alone to be sure he was disabled and couldn't keep harming marines.

Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): I didn't get the chance to take a picture of the ravager under the tank because i didn't think he was going to be teleported.

How you would punish the accused: that's not up to me, i don't know how these things are handled.

I am going to be pulling logs on this.
I did already inform the staff member who did this about the report and will let them post their side.
I am going to refrain from commenting on it myself.

Hi. As the logs Awan posted show, I was the (trial)admin who teleported the ravager out from under the tank. I wasn't the member of staff who handled your ahelp about it, though - someone else took care of that.

The tank doesn't kill xenos under it, even after it's destroyed, so in some instances like what happened here xenos can find themselves wholly and permanently stuck under the thing. Due to game mechanics, xenos can't move the tank even after it's destroyed, and since the tank being on top of a xeno keeps it permanently stunned and slept, there's no way for them to be recovered unless they're on an edge tile where a fellow xeno can grab them out. When something like this happens procedure (as I understand it) is to make a judgement call to fix it, so I moved him out from under it so that he could continue his round. The ravager in question had had an issue just a little earlier in the round relating to a permanent sleep bug which I also had to fix.

If I'd just gibbed him instead or left him how he was, the only thing that would have changed as I see it would be that someone else would be unhappy as a result. I don't think moving the ravager had any real effect on the round balance or its outcome.

The Ravager was not dead, and leaving it permanently trapped hardly seems fair. Omicega saw an issue and took the route that caused the least problems for the least amount of players. I don't see any abuse of power or reason to take action against him, he handled the situation properly.

Resolved - No action taken
I used to play Luke Compton. Now I play Reginald Dempsey.
