Description of the incident:

I played as a Lurker this round. A predator for seemingly no reason started to attack me as I was fighting marines.
I was wounded at the time, trying to recover as I fought marines.
The predator did not care and chased me down.
I thought it would stop running after I got deep into the caves, but lo and be hold it was still coming at me, blades wielded.
I ran into the hive, clearly not a suitable target for honorable prey, and they CHASED ME INTO THE HIVE.
I cowered under the queen, weak and defenseless, but the predator did not care, it obviously didn't give a fuck about the honor code, it just wanted me dead.

00:00 I am coming out of the caves to go engage marines.
01:17 I find marines and engage them.
02:20 As I am healing, the predator uncloaks and stares at me. I ignore it, I have no intentions of fighting.
03:00 The predator starts chasing me down with a weapon as I am wounded and trying to recover to continue my engagement, I haven't attacked it at all.

03:34 I start running for my dear life, trying to be as clear as possible that I don't want a fight.

How you would punish the accused:

I showed no intent of being honorable prey. I was wounded and in the process of battling marines, and I didn't even attack the predator. Their behaviour should be reviewed, and perhaps a temporary job ban should be placed.

It would appear to me that when the predator appeared originally at 2:21 that they noticed you were trying to recover, and over the next minute attempted to allow you to do so. Yet, you kept going back to attack the marines and ignored it to avoid being hunted.

So this was on me, you were clearly honorable prey since I allowed you to heal yourself. Just because YOU don't want to get hunted doesn't mean it won't happen you aren't honorable you're just prey and I can hunt you at my will. You were a lurker fully capable of fighting for yourself and I allowed you to heal yourself and you decided to ignore me and continue to fight marines. Luckily enough for you I'm not a shitlord pred and decided not to plasma caster you once you ran away into the hive. I would learn the honor code before throwing up reports on preds lad.

Oh, and if I remember correctly you kept fucking around at our lodge and trying to enter it, so in reality I could have just killed you on the spot but I allowed you a fair chance. Logs could tell this though, check for a stepping on trap log.

Probably because you keep running away and going back to fight.

If you really don't want to fight the predator, you can run to Queen or your hive to try save you (which you did), or escape into a vent, but pretending the predator isn't real isn't going to save you if it's actively hunting you. That's part of the round and you gotta react to it in some way. You can also just run away from as Lurkers are a lot more mobile than a predator
